T Mobile Auto Pay Discount Known Error In System
There's enough on the TMobile decision to remove the autopoay discount when a credit card used, but get this… If you even have a credit card listed in your account and ARE PAYING WITH A BANK ACCOUNT per the terms of service you will be not be given the autopay discount due to an error in the system. Details: Like everyone else I got the notice to change my autopay to a bank or debit card in July or August. I first changed it and for some reason I don't know got another "final notice" in August to change my autopay settings orloose the discount. I go back into my account and the autopay I set up with my bank account had not been reflected. I changed it again to a bank account. I did not delete the credit card in the system. September bill shows Autopay on my bank account. As does the October bill. HOWEVER, the autopay discount did not appear for my lines. I called customer service, only to find the information that if there is a credit card in the account, EVEN if paying by bank or debit, the autopay discount will not be applied. Short version I argued with the rep for about 40 minutes and aside from that I don't think she was getting there was an error in the system, basically got nowhere. Also even though she continually repeated the fact that I paid by bank account and it wasn't tied to my credit card, I was not getting the discount...and even as far as the terms of service for autopay did not say that having a credit card on file would invalidate the system from setting an autopay discount. And the notices sent regarding the change of autopay are mute on having to delete the credit card info if you add an autopay to a bank debit. She assured me that it wouldn't be on the next bill after removing the credit card information from my account. Wow, awesome job lady!!! Too bad I didn't get a survey or you'd maybe get a 0. On a quick check with someone else seems they are getting the same that the autopay discount is not applied, bill being charged to a bank account, but they have a credit card in the account which forces the system not to provide an autopay discount. So get in your accounts and remove a credit card if you are paying by bank or debit if you want the autopay discount applied. I think TMobile should own up to this being an error in their system vs simply going with the error and not retroactively applying the discount to previous bills paid within the terms. However, all I got was the worthless "assurance" and dealing with someone who really was only reading off her customer support screen for an hour of wasted time. I remember when TMobile had worthwhile service. And without the Autopay discount on my 8 accounts, there's not too much difference between them and other carriers.933Visto0likes5Comentarios
