Re: Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System
I ran a double NAT arrangement with a Ubiquiti DreamMachine SE (dual access points)plugged into theNokiagateway for over 1 year. No issues. I recently upgraded to the Arcadian gateway and simply plugged an ethernet cable between the DreamMachine & Arcadian. No issues. Like the Nokia, I will neveruse the wifi router built into the Arcadian. I wouldn't worry about doubleNAT, the main issue would be reprogramming my77 wifi devices every time I upgraded to a new gateway. Now thats a nightmare!12Visto0likes0ComentariosArcadyan KVD21 Initial Setup
Istarted with Tmobile internet usingthe AskeyTM-RTL0102, upgraded to the 5G Nokia FG-21, anyesterday received the newArcadyan KVD21 gateway. Setup of the KVD21 is pretty straight forward but there are acouple odd niggles for the average user. Start by taking a photo ofthe amei, admin & login passwords on the side of the unit. Next pull out the rubber plug to expose the SIM card. Remove and take a clear close up photo of the numbers, re-installthe SIM card. If you'reupgrading, plug in the KVD21and placenext to your current gateway. Go to WiFi settings on your phone, log into the new network TMobile-7BC7 using the password fromyour photo.Open the T-Mobile Internet app, log inwith the admin password fromyour photo. Follow the instructions to setup a new gateway. You can skip the gateway placement tutorial and password changesto speed-up the process. There is a barcode you scan on the side of the unit. Time to call T-Mobile Home Internet844-275-9310. I called at midnight …only took 15 minutes evenwith the language barrier. Besides your personal T-Mobile info, theyneed the AMEI#, SIM card# and order#. Lots of repeating lingo aside, they turn on your new SIM Card &turn off yourold SIM card (if you'reupgrading). You will get a text when the NokiaSIM is turned off, bye bye internet for now. Now come the niggles. You can pretty much disregard all the niceties left to close the conversation with tech support, their job is done, they readfrom a script about it how itmay take 24 hours, leave it plugged in,bla, bla, bla. The reality is the KVD-21 needs to be re-powered 3 timesto get the latest firmware. 1.00.16. Monitor the little screen on the unit, after a few minutes it will loose connection anask to be re-powered. Itdoes this 3 times over 15 minutes … and your done. Log back in to the admin on the app and you'llsee the firmware has been updated. Your now online! Like others have mentioned, the download speedsdipa littlebut the upload speed triples compared to the Nokia. I connect to B66 for 4G & N71 5G low-band. You see this from the app under More/Advanced Celular Metrics. I find the towerconnections more stable, a noticeable overall improvement. Well worth the time to upgrade IMO.885Visto1like1ComentarioRe: Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System
Sooo …Istarted with Tmobile internet usingthe AskeyTM-RTL0102, upgraded to the 5G Nokia FG-21 over 1 year ago. Today I received thisemail: "You're eligible for a new home internet gateway with Wi-Fi 6 technology! Connect more devices to faster speeds, all at the same time. Simply return your current device, and we'll set you up with a new one at no extra cost. It's that easy." With a quick 5 minute phone call toTmobile Home Internet at 844-275-9310...I will be receiving the "brand new" Orbi WiFi 6e Gateway Device,No Cost, just return the Nokia with the included RMA. How exciting, I searched the web and can find no information on this new gateway being offered directlyfrom Tmobile. I will report back when thismystery device shows up … Hopefully it is not as locked down as the Nokia FG-21. ¡Mantente conectado!13Visto1like0ComentariosRe: 5G home internet keeps dropping
Log into 192.16812.1 and make sure you are rocking the current firmware (say's Software) …1.2101.00.1609. If not call Tech Support and have them push this update to your Nokia. Correct placement and orientation also helps, took me months to find the exact best spot, inches can make or break the best connection. I have no alternative ISP so I was forced to learn this thehard way. Here in Hawaii my Nokia connects to B2 & N71, huge improvement in speed with the 1609 firmware. My previous best speeds were 40 down/10 up ...now those are my absolute minimum speeds. With the built-in WiFi my average is now 80/10.I no longer use the internal WiFiso I turned down the2.4/5GHz transmission powers to 12%. I recently added anUbiquiti Dream Machine Pro SE &WiFi 6 Lite Access pointin a double NAT configuration and was surprised to see peaks at 250/70, average 140/40.Until Tmobile gives us bridge mode that'show I roll my Nokia FG-21. I'm now a happy camper with Tmobile Internet.9Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Do you have 1609 gateway firmware update yet and how is it working for you?

Log into 192.168.12.1 and make sure you have the current firmware (say's software)…1.2101.00.1609 The 1609 firmware providesa much more stable N71/41 5G connection, I went from 40/10 to 140/40. If you don't have the 1609 call Tmobile Tech Support and they can push the new firmware to your modem.25Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Latest Gateway Firmware Discussion
