Re: T-Mobile Home Internet is not ready for Primetime
Maybe things are looking up. I just ran a Speedtest last night and the download speed was 400 Mb. This is by far the best speeds since I first signed up, previously never having better than 70 Mb, and for months on end speeds that were inconsistent and never above 30 Mb while having constant dropouts. Crossing my fingers that this will become the standard.13Visto0likes0ComentariosT-Mobile Home Internet is not ready for Primetime
I honestly can't wait until fiber is laid up our street as T-Mobile's home internet literally sucks. There's no way one can dependably stream video, and 4K video is out of the question. How they can honestly call this service 5g blows me away. We're now supplementing tmobile's home internet with DSL. We're getting a rock solid 56 Mb download speed with our DSL while tmobile's download speedis anywhere from 1-25 Mb. The only reason we're keeping tmobile is because the upload speeds are a consistent 60-75 Mb, and my wife occasionally needs to upload large graphics files. We've had the service for a year and I can't wait to drop it.1.1KViews2likes4ComentariosRe: Home Intenet. Has anyone found a way to get competent support?
Don't count on it. The best I got was a free month here and there because the speeds are pathetic. I live in a rural area where you'd think the bandwidth competition was low but our download speeds suck. The only reason we're keeping the service is because my wife occasionally has to upload large graphics files, the upload speeds are great.Download speeds are typically less than 30 Mb and drop to 1-5 Mb. There's no way we can stream video. We ended up getting our DSL back. The DSL speeds are a consistent 56 Mb download, plenty good enough for 4K streaming. Our DSL provider is laying cable here over the next two years, at which point I'm dropping this awful tmobile home internet like a lead balloon. Good luck.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Suddenly slow home internet.
When I first subscribed to the home internet service in April the speeds were pretty good, 65-70 Mb download and upload speeds. By July I was lucky to get 40-45 Mb. I cut the cable a number of years ago and decided this summer to invest in a 4K TV, AV receiver and the 4K apple TV. The last few days have seen my internet slow to less than 5 Mb/s. I'm thoroughly disgusted with T-mobile's service. When interacting with them they repeat the same BS in order to repair the speed yet nothing improves. I've considered going back to my DSL service and buying a dual WAN router to combine two separate ISP's. This is 2021. Is it too much to ask for a consistent 40 Mb? JFC, we can go to Mars.41Visto3likes0Comentarios
