Re: Frequent Disconnection on 5G Home Internet
@raphaelI have the same problem, as do many others posting on this forum. T-Mobile has been completely unresponsive in addressing it. My dropouts have occurred multiple times a day for the past few months. I don't expect miracles, but reliable WiFi service should not take a miracle to achieve.6Visto9likes0ComentariosRe: VoIP with t-home internet
If T-Mobile is still blocking the necessary ports on its grey Gateway router, how does a MagicJack work when plugged into it? My VoiP phone requires ports 5060-5070 for communication with the server andUDP 10000-20000 ports to be open fortwo way voice communication. I have yet to find a workaround.16Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: 5G home internet keeps dropping
@LextorYes, definitely a T-Mobile problem. I, too, switched from Verizon and got good speeds the first month. Rebooting the gateway doesn't seem to fix the issue, however. And I have consistently had 5 bars. Calls to T-Mobile have beenfruitless. The last rep I talked to said the drops were caused by tower maintenance, which would be completed in a month. Really? My T-Mobile phone service works fine. But that seems to be the standard response. And it's now been several months that I've had dropped WiFi connections. Really bad.1Ver1like0ComentariosRe: 5G home internet keeps dropping
My gateway internet dropped out at least 20 times yesterday, sometimes within minutes after it reconnected. T-Mo customer service said it's because there is maintenance work going on at the cell tower I connect to and that it will take another several weeks to complete. I find it hard to believe this is the cause of repeated dropped connections that have been going on for over a month now. My phone service is fine, just the internet drops repeatedly using the gateway. There must be a better solution.0Visto1like0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile, Please read this! High Speed Gateway Problems!
You are correct about the grey Gateway "trashcan" unit not allowing connections to IP phones. I contacted T-Mobile multiple times about this and filed two trouble tickets. Have heard nothing back, zip, nada. The last T-Mobile rep I spoke with honestly told me not to expect an answer! What kind of customer service is this? My IP phone is useless because I cant make or receive any calls. The Gateway is not user configurable to allow access to the necessary ports and I've beentold I'm simply out of luck. I've been a T-Mobile wireless customer for more than 20 years, but that doesn't seem to matter. I don't even think T-Mo reps read what gets posted in this community, as I have yet to see one respond to an issue. If the older LTE gateway will allow connections to IP phones I would ask for that as a replacement. But I'm not sure even that would fix the problem. If anyone has any suggestions I'd welcome them. Gracias.6Visto1like0Comentarios
