Re: Arcadyan 5g aggregation
Yes…. much better where I happen to live out here in the southern AZ 'boonies' …. 12 miles to the nearest tower…. you DO have to take time to both rotate it carefully and find a location to place it that works best but when you do I get 2x the speed as the Nokias do out ere…. comparing it with my old Nokia as well as a couple of my neighbors that still have the Nokia….. it's a little more fussy to setup than the Nokia performs much better once you get it setup to grab the weak signal out here…. I'm sure that in areas with strong signals that people with the Nokia might not care about the new device.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Arcadyan 5g aggregation
Same question here…. Probably when it becomes particularly important to them in the battle slowly developing with 'c-band' speeds…. Also if they do it 'now' they will have a surge of Nokia customers that may want to switch and A) that's expensive and B) they need to be able to supply enough of the new ones…. So that's my guess…. Right now they are steadily starting to replace the Nokias that crap out with the new ones and new accounts get the new gateway….. I succefully switched but I had to add a new line and also discontinue my Nokia…. If you want to do that it's only $7.00 for overnight shipping (fyi) where I happen to live the Arcadyan totally outperforms the Nokia3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Home Internet Dreadfully Slow
Yes…… for an entire 5 minutes….. did the sim swap on both gateways we have over here…. An extremely brief 'fix'…… recently learned that in our area where I live when you call Tech Support now they can,for the very first time, see the sprint tower on their map and it's been renamed to T-Mobile Sprint unified and the tech-support people have some indication that it's 'about to be turned back on to T-Mobile home Internet users'when they finish the 5G upgrade…. it appears to be linked to the device identifier number… not the SIM card…. I also read on another group A person with the same exact problem is now reporting that the tower next to them is finallyback on a normal and it has a new 5G component to it now …so I guess there's hope!!2Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Home Internet Dreadfully Slow
Recently (a little over a week ago) I lost all ability to even "see" the Sprint tower only 1.1 miles away Band 41…. VERY fast where I live…. 200mbps at times….. we have two of the gateways here both developed the same issue…. I found myself suddenly connecting to a T-Mobile tower well over 10 miles …After the update to the first device I suddenly got B2 AND n71 and even though it's far away and only have two bars I have pretty decent speeds. I had the after the the 2nd THMI gateway was updated I saw same results….. this week sometime …. I will be receiving new SIM cards for both units as tech support still has no idea why I can't see that nearby tower anymore even though my iPhone with a regular t-mobile SIM card connects both voice and data to it just fine still…. Stay tuned…. developing story…. Oh…I was speaking to tech support today and also found out from another support person that they are sending out 'new' sims to many people to fix "various" problems…. he said some of the "original" sims used in the program are not working now…. just a heads up2Visto1like0ComentariosRe: t-monile home internet is barely providing basic data speeds sometimds.
This JUST happened to me starting Monday of this week…. I WAS connected to the T-Mobile tower (was Sprint) only 1 mile away and getting VERY high speeds then it disappears Monday…. They are converting Sprint towers over right now and I am currently connected to a tower over 10 miles away…. for the time being……. you need to run Speedtest (app on your phone) and AS it starts to run the download test and the meter arrow starts to move start to rotate your gateway and see if it starts to 'jump' in speed….. run it several times and do this over and over…. it has 4 antennas inside and rotation affects where it is looking outside….. also try unplugging it and while it on try moving it to different locations in your house and you need to test next to various windows each time…. there is a small display at the top of the unit and to activate it just tap on it lightly and you may have to swipe it left or right a couple of times to find the connection strength 'bars' ….they are very bright and may be a bit hard to see….. at each location you can slowly rotate (like ¼turn at a time) and see what you get…. once you think you have found a better spot plug it in and wait about a minute or so for it to come back on and after another 2 minutes let it finish up connecting and THEN redo your speed test(s) ….. If you happen to have an upstairs then by all means locate it up there….. there ARE kits available online from a company called Waveform that well let you add an external high gain set of antennas to the unit and you can then pull in signals many miles away….. works very well by the way….. and there are videos on YouTube these days about that...3Visto0likes0Comentarios
