The battery is intended ONLY for finding best signal location during initial setup, or perhaps retaining circuit power during short duration power surges. This was poorly to not-at-all documented.

I get only Band 12 700MHz 2 bars from one tower so provides good distance about 3.5 miles, but low speeds of 37Mbs Down max. However, compared to our former 1.5Mbs rural service we couldn't be happier, though with only Band 12 on a single tower we have no redundancy/backup at all.

Why not try it? There's no contract and you'd know quickly and could send it back and be out only $50 or perhaps T-Mo would waive charges if you were unhappy.
