Re: No Display on Gateway
After the gateway has completed it's boot-up process the LCD display will go off to save power and it's not supposed to stay lit. Just press any button on the front and the LCD display will come back on for a few minutes and then shut off again. Just because the LCD display is off doesn't mean the Gateway isn't working. You can use the T-Mobile Internet app on your phone to manage the gateway remotely and check it's status.95Visto1like0ComentariosRe: gateway
Spence 007 wrote: Sorry to clarify. I had the old model gateway for about a year with no issues. Then yesterdayit was slow for most of my devices and couldn't get a signal with my main brand new tv. so I swapped it for the new model and it's somewhat better but says it has excellent signal but when running a speed test shows about 30-50 mbps. Unless you have a T-Mobile business account the SIM card is tied to the IMEI of your gateway, so you can't just swap them out on the fly without involving T-Mobile support.Where did you get the new gateway from and what kind is it? It's best if you have your own router and not try to direct connect devices to the T-Mobile gateway….things just work better and you have more control. Does the TV work now..?9Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Why is the Home Internet Gateway functionality crippled?
Ralphfur wrote: Ok, this is not a sane business model. How do you disable the router or put it into bridge mode so that you can use a real router? That should NOT break any system or cause any issues. Without being able to do that, you lose all IPV6 functionality on an attached router. You also have to deal with double NAT issues. The poor quality wireless is underpowered and not capable of dealing with multiple devices. Small numbers, yes, large no. The app, as has been mentioned, is like many other apps, a waste of time and energy. So, we can all agree it is a problem, how do we get it fixed? How do we put this thing at least into bridge more? Better would be, how to disable the router completely and just have an interface to the modem??????? Thoughts or suggestions??????? Later, ralphfur Winchester, OR It sounds like T-Mobile Internet isn't the best choice for you. There are aftermarket gateways that have more control options and flexibility but they aren't cheap.25Visto0likes0Comentarios
