Re: Xperia 1 III now a Verizon-only phone
Able to willing to fix the wifi calling not working, and potentially fixing the 5G problems I've heard some Xperia 1 III users are having on Tmobile. It just is a sucky experience when you've done a bunch of research and finally feel like you find a phone that is a good fit for you, only for it to not work. I guess I'll just keep using my old phone until it dies and I am forced to upgrade. At 5 years old its showing its age but I think I'm out of choices for a premium phone with a SD card slot.42Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Will unlocked phones work with T-Mobile Wifi calling ?

A T-mobile cellspot in-home LTE tower also does not cover my entire home. The only thing that works reliably is Wifi calls, using a combination of 5 wireless access points. Is a cellspot the same thing as a cell signal repeater? I get 4G at my house but it is really spotty, and wifi calling seems to be just as spotty for me. I've been thinking of getting a repeater but they cost as much as a mid to premium tier smartphone, depending. Also, I was thinking of getting a Note 20 Ultra just for the SD card slot, but a new one costs almost as much as my primary choice the Xperia 1 III (which doesn't even seem to fully work with tmobile).51Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: No 5G Signal on my new Galaxy S22 (Unlocked) , stuck on LTE (4G/4G+)

Look for "Prefer 5G NR Mode" in the developer menu and make sure it's set toNSA + SA. My Sony Xperia 1 III has a lot of problems with 5G because the US model is intentionally crippled. It has no SA 5G and NSA barely works. It looks like you bit the bullet. Do you think it was worth it? I live in a subdivision that isn't so crowded so cell signal sucks here. My experience with wifi calling has been poor too but I kinda feel like if I'm paying for a premium phone I want all the features available to me. I've heard the Xperia 1 III also has other issues in addition to wifi calling, like problems connecting to 5G sometimes.18Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Xperia 1 III now a Verizon-only phone
That sucks. After doing a long search for phones still with a SD slot, my choice was either for a Samsung Note 20 Ultra, which costs pretty close to my primary choice, the Xperia 1 III. That sucks. My phone is 5 years old and now I guess I'll keep using it until it dies. Hopefully a good tmobile compatible phone with an SD slot comes along. I really wanted the latest Snapdragon CPU and the latest Adreno GPU as well. I mean, it doesn't look like either Sony or Tmobile is able or willing to fix this, otherwise wouldn't they have done it already?44Visto0likes0Comentarios
