T mobile screws over rural customers
We live in the Brookneal area of zip code 24528. The best service by far was Sprint that allowed us to use a hot spot for Wi-Fi and streaming specifically. The service was flawless and fast even with LTE. T mobile has apparently decided that they don't want to pay the fees of the nearest Shentel cell tower in their acquisition of Sprint customers and services. Our ability to stream on the smart TV's stopped a couple of months ago and streaming on a laptop or computer is met with much buffering. I've made multiple calls tothe overseas help desk (is there any other?) and been told I'd used up my data which was an outright lie and also the tower was being upgraded which would be completed last March(!) and now being told it will be December. I finally talked to a local T mobile employee that honestly told me there is no intention of upgrading the cell tower or paying rent for services on ourShentel cell tower so we are screwed. Every time I heara T mobile commercial about their vast 5G coverage and super fast speeds I want to scream. I don't expect this to go anywhere but wanted to vent about how badly T mobile has pqkd a good thing for us while still expecting the monthly bill to be paid. What's worst arethe neighbors that I convinced to switch over to Sprint who have also lost their streaming services. T mobile sucks.482Visto0likes5ComentariosRe: way to see if my tower near me is 5G

That just isn't true. Placement of antennas on the cell tower affect signal as well as hills mountains and buildings. We had an ice storm in 2020 that shifted or damaged tower antennas and our service was virtually non existent. It took almost 3 months before someone sent a tech out to the field to fix the problem. I called several times, created multiple tickets but was never able to speak to a US representative or the regional manager. I was never compensated for that failure either.I live well away from any city. My Sprint signal is great but the Verizon signal, from the same tower, sucks. The coverage map show we would have a great 5G from T-mobile. The reality is the nearest 5G upgraded tower is far away and the nearest tower isn'tscheduled for upgrade until March…maybe. The store tech said go ahead and switch but if it doesn't work they can't switch it back which means I'd have zero service. The truth is you can't get credible information from any service provider, at least that's been my experience over the years.46Visto1like0Comentarios
