Compromised phone number
phone number was compromised on dark web...and I received a message alert that someone could use that number to impersonate me...I have had this phone number forever...I don’t really want to change it...so what exactly does that mean, and what do I do in this case?
I got one from Lifelock recently letting me know a company I've never used had their system hacked and my email and phone number was exposed on the dark web.
I just acknowledged it and keeping an eye on any strange activity.
at this point in life they can “spoof” your number and make a call where it looks like you called someone but in fact you did not. all they did was used your number as their fake number.
Also your phone number and email address is easily found on the regular web.
