Digits App work with Watch Digits line?

I have a digits line with my Samsung watch. How do I get the Digits app to connect with the watches phone number? When I login on the digits app it says no digits lines are available. I have 2 digits lines on my account both are watches though. Can I get my watches messages on the digits apps also? Sometimes often my watch dies I want to also receive the messages on the app.
