LG V60 Current security patch?
Finding mixed info on what the latest security patch is for this phone. Both mine say May 1, 2023 and both claim current. I have quite a few apps that will install but not run. Wondering if I am actually "current"?
carriers dont create the security patches..Google does..then they kick it to the OEMs who then adjust them to each of their devices..then the kick out from there once the carriers pass or fail it.
were missing the Google-OEM..
out of curiosity what apps are they?
May 1st as well here. dont think we’ll be getting anything additional from LG. they pulled the plug a few years ago..i was surprised we received Android 13 let alone any additional security patches.
I know anything from LG won't happen, but security updates are more likely. TM isn't going to let us run all squirrely on their network. Have seen posts on Reddit that make me think there is another coming?
Have at least three apps that no longer work since the last update. Devs say nothing is wrong, TM says devs are wrong. Finger pointing at its finest.

Yes, I would assume if there was something important enough, TM would just cut us off if LG didn't provide the update.
So far I have found RaceTrac, Wex (HR benefits app) and I can't remember the other one. They won't open just flash and close.
phone still works and at this point is EOL anyways. go into the app via the play store then pull up comments on it..then adjust to the V60 and see if there are a bunch of posts in there about it or not. one would think if it were a limitation due to not having a high enough security patch that something would actually say this and not just force close itself with zero reason as to why.
seeing one other report of issues with a V60 as of 9/7..
actually just going in there without even saying which phone you’ll see quite a few reports of it not opening. willing to bet this isnt a device specific issue and more of something they need to fix on their end.
