Why are we being penailzed for paying with a credit card?
T-Mobile already took away the $5 discount that I had for auto-pay, and now will add a $10 penalty if I do not give them a debit card or bank account!!! This is daylight robbery and I am very disappo...

I highly doubt that is going to work. Once you select to make the payment with a credit card, the autopay discount will be automatically removed.
It may work paying earlier with a credit card, as the total shown for payment may include the discount because of the autopay debit card. Hope the OP lets us know if it works or not.
But I am still very apprehensive on giving T-Mobile any debit card or bank account info, because of the frequent data breaches.
