This is BS

This is BS that TMobile took away charging the account for third party apps. I constantly play Hogwarts on my cell phone and now I can't purchase items in the game and have it billed to tmobile to pay for it on my next bill. I'm on disability and by the time I pay all my bills and get things for my daughter like doctors appt and food and clothes my money is gone. So charging it to my bill with a cap of 50 or 100 dollars I think it was to be added to my bill let me play the game and pay it on my bill the next time my bill came out... and they just removed that feature with no explanation or warning... I had to do a deep dive on the website to find out and it wasn't even on the website I had to find out on a forum page... this is ridiculous and should be reinstated immediately!

I'm 100% behind you! My situation is similar, but mainly, why did they just stop? My old stuff is grandfathered in. I liked the choice of having all of my smaller bills for my phone, come on my phone bill, all in one!

Now I have to worry about little charges coming out for Peacock & Hulu. I'm sure there are others, but they're small & it helped me VERY MUCH to have them lumped ALL IN ONE BILL. WHY CHANGE IT FOR US WHO'VE BEEN EXCELLENT CUSTOMERS FOR YEARS AFTER SPRINT WAS BOUGHT? I've paid my bill in advance EVERY MONTH.

I WANT THE 3RD PARTY BILLING BACK OR I MIGHT POSSIBLY SWITCH TO SPECTRUM! I really would rather stay with T-Mobile, but this REALLY made me mad. Plus without notice? Even the T-Mobile reps DIDN'T KNOW & STILL DON'T KNOW T-MOBILE DROPPED US GOOD CUSTOMERS FROM THE GOOGLE PLAY BILLING!

Literally yesterday, the lady told me to call Google bc it had to be them bc T-Mobile obviously still bills 3rd party, as we can see on my bill but those were grandfathered in. I dropped Peacock bc of the rise in cost, then realized I couldn't get my shows without the paid plan, on AUGUST 29, so I put it back on...but charging it to my phone number wasn't an option!

PLEASE FIX THIS, EVEN IF ONLY FOR THE CUSTOMERS WHO ARE IN GOOD STANDING! I AM PI**ED OFF BIG-TIME! I didn't realize how much I appreciated that feature that it would make me consider switching to another carrier! CHANGE IT BACK, PLEASE, ASAP!

THEY STOPPED IT ON AUGUST 29TH, 2024 WITHOUT NOTICE & NOW, apparently the only carrier who has direct billing, is US Cellular, which I cannot use in my area. THERE'S NO REASON TO NOT DO IT BC OBVIOUSLY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS VERY, VERY, VERY AGGRAVATED WITH T-MOBILE RIGHT NOW!

    THANK YOU,

    my phone bill

Couldn't you buy a Google play gift card for any purchases? That's what I do for any subscriptions I have.

All carriers but US cellular have dropped carrier billing. If you want it back switch to US cellular.  I honestly don't see carriers who have left to even bring it back.

Of course I CAN, but that's still another bill. I appreciated being able to charge all of my little bills go on my bill bc I pay my phone bill first thing & then everything is paid. I don't use credit cards or I'd put the purchases on one.

It was very poor business practice & bad to just drop the option without communicating it to customers. Every customer service rep I talked with, has NO clue. They said well, you're not over $80 & we do allow for 3rd party purchases. Everything should be alright, it sounds like you need to contact Google. Um, no. Google already explained it & then I found it in the Google help section that only US Cellular supports it as of August 29, 2024 & it's dictated by the carrier. But lots of mine are grandfathered in minus a few now.

I would've made sure to have all of the subscriptions charged to my phone number account (direct bill), BEFORE AUGUST 29, 2024. I'm still frustrated about it & seriously thinking of taking my business elsewhere but I don't want to have to deal with all of that bc I have three lines. And normally, I like T-Mobile, but this was super shady & uncalled-for by a successful carrier. Nothing to cry over, but enough to piss off a LOT of us. There are several threads here & more elsewhere, too. Like Reddit, etc.

Regardless, if you have an account in good standing, you should be able to use the direct bill through the Google Play Store. I'm so annoyed. If another carrier comes along that works well in my area, I will be tempted to say bye-bye to T-Mobile.

Please get it together, T-Mobile. ASAP.

Anyone notice they're still getting billed but denied by the companies for the billing such as Hulu or Disney? I literally am still getting billed for something that I'm not able to use unless I pay for it separately with my bank account as Google does not give it an option to pay through them anymore and they haven't for quite some time.
