billed for 2 years

Hello I'm posting on behalf of my mother who is mentally disabled, and is on a fixed income. After needing intervention, and peering into her bank account to find the issues as to why she wasn't making her essential needs we had found a monthly bill from T-Mobile in the amount of 144$ which has been been billed monthly, overdrafting monthly for the last 2 years. Is there anyone we can reach out to regarding her account and possibly refunding her because the record shall show no activity on her line for 2 years running. If anyone can help that would be awesome because she struggles already and this has really put her in a bind and she just doesn't understand. She thinks her loved ones are robbing her. You can try using messenger on one of Tmobile’s social media accounts like Facebook or Twitter.

Also remove your email address so you don't get spammed with people saying they can help.

  • I'm not sure that there is much that can be done about two years of overcharges. There's a presumption that the customer will take some action to correct such errors in a reasonably prompt manner. Having said that, I always recommend when money is a issue, the customer limit phone calls, e-mails and social media contacts to one or two attempts, because these methods do not preserve your legal rights. You should fairly quickly switch to writing business letters conforming to the requirements of the Fair Credit Billing Act and deal with the issue only in this format. If it come to arbitration or small claims court, you want to make sure you have a paper trail on your side.
