service down

TMobile service is down again for the 3rd time in as many weeks in St Joseph, MO. I've been told lines to towers were cut, its a 5g upgrade issue, and they don't know. I know many others in this area that are having issues. Is there a resolution in sight or should I go elsewhere after 22 years with tmobile?

  • contact TMO either through calling in (tier 1 support) or through a DM to one of their social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter (tier 2 support) and have them put in a network ticket for you. the later two contact options will probably have more details into what is going on compared to the call in agents.

After 20 years with Verizon, we switched to T-Mobile. The first few months were great, but over the last 2 weeks our T-Mobile service absolutely sucks!
I am seriously considering going back to Verizon!
we live about 20 minutes of Charlotte NC in a very populated area, so no excuses for the poor coverage!

  • poor coverage? you just stated everything worked great up to the last couple weeks..that usually points to being either a network issue that is being worked on or still needs to be worked on OR tower upgrades..

with that being said..no carrier can have a network issue? in all the years of being with V they NEVER had a single tower issue in all that time? zero?

Well fireguy, I am certainly not a techie, and not being here trying to argue-

    network, tower, bat signal- whatever.

my phone has poor reception now, is very slow loading content, and overall just sucks.

I NEVER said we did not have an issue with Verizon, Hence the reason we switched T-Mobile.

so I am confused. Was your comment meant to help something or just to critique?

update: service is back up again. I was told it was a tower issue and there were several tickets issues for repairs. They also recognized there have been many issues lately. Just hoping the repairs last. Thanks for your help fireguy!

does the problem follow you once you leave that area by say 5+ miles in any direction?

you decided to throw out a “I am seriously considering going back to Verizon! “ threat as if V had zero issues in those 20 years of you being with them lol. if it were every other week i could see tossing out a fit and threat..but geeze dude.

    *tips hat*

no worries..hopefully it was a fix and not a band-aid  fix until upgrades are ready to happen on that tower..if its the later then you’ll be seeing a decent amount of it yet again lol..

which on the down side..it’ll suck..but on the up side your connection and speeds should jump up pretty well. my area is still awaiting some more tower upgrades but as of now my average is around 400Mbps down and around 20 up...while inside of a warehouse surrounded by just about all things that can hinder a signal lol.
