Custom DNS server

I have T-mobile's home internet with their 5G Gateway. I have my own router connected to it as I have multiple devices physically wired to my router. But its an old router and I want to retire my old old router and use the TMO device as my router. But I need to set custom DNS server as I have my raspberry pi as the dns server.

Any way I can set up custom DNS server with the gateway?  I have checked the settings in the T-Life and HintControl apps. No ability to set custom DNS server available.

Any thoughts from the community?

The Sagemcom gateway has very limited configuration options. You change:

    The admin name & password,

    The WiFi name(SSID) & password,

Other options that you would normally expect on a gateway/router device are not currently implemented. I don't know if the other tmobile gateway devices have more options.

Thank you for your input. After  I posted this thread, I came across another thread that had asked a similar question. The response on that thread was similar to yours and the proposed solution was to use a 2nd router to handle the DNS, DHCP functions etc.

I guess thats what I will end up doing as well. Its a shame that TMO's modem & router combo falls so short of good customization of settings.
