Nintendo Switch - Mario Kart 8

Hola,

Recently I have been unable to play Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Switch online play. Each time I try to connect my console to the online play of my friends that create a room it constantly gives me a communication error. I've connected my device to my Home wifi network, reset my TMobile rourter and logged back in. Is there a fix for this?
