Issue Connecting Smart Vacuum Cleaner to Home Internet

Having issues connecting my vacuum cleaner to my tmobile home internet. Have 2 of them and both attempt to connect but after finding the network on the vacuum app and enter the password, it seems to get stuck while attempting to connect. I have 2 Vaccumes, a Coredy and an IRobot (Roomba). Both can only connect to a 2.4Ghz network ans poth won't work with WP3 so basically only WPA2 or WPA.

I have setup on the router both settings, 2.4Ghz and WPA2 but I'm still unable to get them to work.

Seems weird because all of my other Smart devices, and I have plenty and different brands connect perfectly fine but not the vacuums.

I believe it's an admin configuration on the router software but I can't find a way to access it.

If anyone has tips for this issue please send me a note.

Gracias

When you split the WiFi into 2.4GHz and 5GHz.  Did you set the security for the 2.4GHz network to WPA or WPA2 Personal?  The only way to configure the T-Mobile gateway is through the T-Life app.

What channel is the 2.4GHz set to?  If it's auto.  That might be the issue.  The most compatible channels for troubleshooting are, 3, 6, and 9 with 6 being the most commonly used.

That is why i need router access, can't find that option on the t-life app

There is no router access or web interface.  Only through the T-Life app.

I am not sure how you would change it, if the option isn't available in the T-Life app.  The issue is probably similar for the XBOX, although the XBOX should be able to connect to the 5GHz band.  The business version of the TMHI gateway does offer a few more features.  Personally, I would reach out to TMHI Support by calling, 1-844-514-0126 to see if they can lock the channels on their end through their admin tools.
