Plug this into the back and your router will work like a router should.  If you don't like it, it is returnable.

This is inaccurate. The issue of getting a connection but not connecting to the Internet has nothing to do with it being 4/5G home Internet from a SIM card. It's also not the router. See my post above from probably a year ago. 

This is something on T-Mobiles end. Could be a tower, could be the line itself. Without somebody actually from T-Mobile looking into it, it's impossible to tell.

If the problem is intermittent, then it’s most likely a cell tower issue.

The issue is your router from T-Mobile will not put out the same signal that I router from AT&T or Verizon or one of the cable companies. What T-Mobile has done is a modified using a telephone Sim and your equipment CS Sim and they know it's not a router so they won't connect, what you have to buy a router from Amazon or somewhere, you could find them in expensive and connect that in the back of your T-Mobile device and you will connect to the new Route you just plugged in. It'll be no problem at all. I found out this issue when I tried to have my garage door opener my connect to the Internet. It cannot do it. It took many days and many calls to find out the reason why because it doesn't see a router it see's a cell phone. 

Okay I'm currently having the same issue but my phone, kindle, and kindle work but my computer can't connect even though I have a secure connection.

Edit: now it seems to be working. I'll give it a little bit and see if it starts doing it again

Try this. Go to the T-Mobile Internet App on your phone.  Tap on Devices at the bottom.  Find the connected device that is unable to connect to the internet.  If it is not connected, tap on that device.  Tap the button to connect.

I am also having this issue. Been with T-Mobile almost 10 years. May be leaving the company because of this. My internet was fine a month ago. One month later it won't work. Did all troubleshooting. Submitted ticket. New router. New sim. Still didn't work. Repeated the same steps. Three new routers. None work. Now submitting new ticket.

I have the same issues here in Vero Beach Florida. My gateway reports a "good" signal (3bars) consistently, but the actual internet feed comes and goes, verified by a speed test. Very frustrating. I've called support multiple times and they say it's a tower issue and that it's bring worked on. Have heard them say this for the last year now. This is not a gateway hardware or software issue - it's a tower problem. Restarting the can or updating software doesn't address the issue.
