15 day test drive a lie, Home Internet Service
I've been dealing with the same thing, except for the SB home internet. I was never even able to use it because the highest speed I could get was 2 mbps. When I called to cancel, the person I talked to did some kind of "configurations" that he sent to the modem and told me to give it 48 hours for all of the "configurations" to fully activate. Well, they did improve the speeds, but only to 4 mbps. So I called to cancel again and the person I talked to confirmed he canceled the account. I never got an email specific to the cancelation, but I did get an email for the shipping label.
Then, they tried to charge the account the full monthly amount. When I called, the person I spoke to said he would cancel it. When I asked why it wasn't canceled the week before when they confirmed it was canceled, he didn't have an answer for me. But he assured me that he would send through a refund for the monthly charge and that the account was 100% canceled. Then they tried to charge the account again 3 days after it cleared. Then I got the collections letter with some weird amount. So I went to my bank and found out they never sent the refund through so that's why it was re-trying the payment 3 days later.
I just got an email a few minutes ago from T-Mobile saying "Thank you for your payment" and see they're trying to charge my bank account again. But not for the full monthly amount. They're trying to charge the weird amount from the collections letter.
I've never had these kinds of issues with a company before. even the really crappy ones. If you say you're canceling my account, THEN CANCEL IT!
This can't be legal.
