I settled with collections and they won't unlock my phone!! It's been 4 months
I call every week and still NOTHING
I am told that I still owe $200 when I received and email from the collections agency that my account was paid in full. "T Mobile will not pursue collections on the remaining balance"
The charges were not service based, they were late fees, etc.
Fine. My account went to collections, but I settled and paid way more than the service I received, yet my phone remains locked. They demand I pay the additional $200. Blackmail.
Why send me to collections then? Why tell me every week when I call that they are sorry and that my phone will get unlocked within 72 hours yet nothing happens.
This is a horrible company. Unkind, disrespectful, they have kept my phone hostage for 4 months.

When an account is sent to collections. The company selling the debt to the collextiin agency sells that debt at a loss. Because of this and because your account was closed due to non-payment. The device does not and will never qualify for a SIM unlock.
