PSA for anyone unable to register T-Mobile ID for home internet: quick fix that support is not aware of

It gives me an error when I input the number from the gateway and it ask for a valid T-Mobile number when I input my non T-Mobile phone number (the number I provided when I opened the account). Seems to me it is a quick and easy fix but who am I? Just a meaningless customer.
