I don't know which model gateway is current with the base plan, but the rest of your assumption sounds correct. I think they provide more "support" with the Plus plan, for what it's worth.
if you have been able to cover your home with a single Wi-Fi router, you'll probably be fine with the base plan/gateway. If you find you need more coverage, you can buy your own mesh.
Today, an agent offered to order a mesh for free so I can extend my coverage. I am not sure if he was aware that I already have plus. Should I say yes to that? I really don't need a total of two meshes, but I am wondering if by using the free mesh he send me, I can actually change my plan to the regular 5G and pay less monthly by using the free mesh and returning the one that came with my 5G plus plan. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
