netflix update

Adding 2 screens, 1080p streaming but with ads is a major downgrade from 1 screen, 720p without ads. Adding ads makes it a complete worthless benefit because I won't use it. So t-mobile is just actively making their service worse.

Netflix offers us Hulu with ads for free(that we never asked for) while downgrading Netflix without ads to Netflix with ads. They make it sound like this is a new benefit, which it is not. I will now downgrade my Magenta Max 55+ to the regular Magenta 55+ plan and pay for Netflix without ads separately.

You say that they offer hulu with ads when your signed with Netflix themselves? Please clarify, also are you not in the US? Because we've never heard about having hulu with ads for being with Netflix!

I believe the free Hulu is a new benefit they’re offering I recall receiving a message about it a few weeks back.

no one is forcing you to use their free to you Netflix..

No one is forcing you to be a troll, but here you are.

Netflix is not included in the Essentials $90 plan, you must pay for GO5G or higher for $120, which means, it’s not really Free is it?

  • First, I knew nothing of this change coming. My first and only notice was the email I received today from Netflix, telling me my plan has changed, not even from T-Mobile. I'm kind of ticked off I wasn't warned of this for a few reasons. Part of the perks from the plan was getting standard netflix paid by T-Mobile, now for me to get the same benefit I had, will have me paying more than the cost of the 'standard with ads'

    Secondly, From my bill:

Netflix Standard con anuncios - Oferta de T-Mobile

    Includes $15.49 Netflix Discount

    It’s now a $6.99 benefit but still says 15.49.

There should be option to buy without ads option .. with ads is worthless

I currently pay an additional $11 per month on my T-Mobile bill in order to get Netflix Premium.  I just received a text message from T-Mobile that my cost would be increasing to $16 per month to keep Netflix Premium.

You should be able to change to Netflix Standard option for $8.50 per month added to your T-Mobile bill.

I'm a bit confused.  Where did the above screenshot/chart come from?  IF I read the above correctly, if you have Go5G Plus or Go5G Next, you get NetFlix Standard (not NetFlix standard w/ads) for free?  It says Remains Free under the Standard column.  We have Go5G Plus, but on the T-Mobilie add-ons it only says we get the Standard w/ads On US?

it is if youre already on said plans.. heres one for you..if your current plan is $90 and you must pay for Netflix yourself..or you can jump up to the correct plan and pay $30 more to get your TMO offered Netflix..which one sounds like its the cheaper route?

or...you can downgrade your plan to one that does NOT include it then pay for Netflix yourself with the money you saved by going to a lower plan...

I'm on Magenta Max. I don't know where that chart came from, but according to Netflix, and my account info, I'm on w/ ads. Even better, the App just told me I'm on "Basic with ads", then a screen telling me it changed to standard with ads and to talk to tmobile if I have any questions.

I will be paying 8.50 more to get the standard back with Max, or I drop to cheaper plan, which is tempting

So I'm considering adding an extra member slot for $7.99, but you need to be on Standard plan with no ads. If I "upgrade" then $8.50 will be added to my T-mobile bill. Can I then add this extra slot and pay Netflix directly for that part or is this a no-go because I'm being billed through T-mobile?

Your rate plan is still the same. Add on pricing like Netflix can change if you look at the terms of the add on.

T-Mobile non-monetary value never changed. What changed was what Netflix charges. If you don't like the pricing Netflix charges then don't use Netflix or pay the difference of what T-Mobile is willing to cover.

I do find it funny people are willing to pay more than the difference in 90% of cases by going to another carrier to stick it to T-Mobile for not covering more.  Personally with the plan I have I'd pay $65 more after taxes and fees. I dropped Netflix because I didn't agree with their price increase.
