Netgear Nighthawk M1 (MR1100-100NAS) blocked by TMobile?
- Hace 5 años
I couldn't find anything that says we block the Netgear Nighthawk M1 or any other mobile hotspot from working on the T-Mobile network. Of course, the normal Bring your own device (BYOD) disclaimer applies; we can't guarantee we can get all devices working, but we definitely want to try our best.
The biggest question I have is what rate plans do you have? They need to be Mobile Hotspot plans to work in a Mobile Hotspot device. If they're plans designed for phones, they won't work.
Have you set the APN manually? The ATT devices only have the ATT APN by default. You need to manually setup with TMO one (fast.t-mobile.com). Also, the manual APN setting is buggy so you need me make sure it's still set as the "active" APN after it's first reboot. I have 5 bars of T-mobile service on mine thanks to b66 support.
If you are still having issue you may be on an older firmware (I'm on Feb 2020). Sadly to get an update from some older versions you need to be attached to the ATT network. I got my first update by activating a one month prepaid ATT hotspot plan. Once I got the device up to date, I switched back to the TMO account.
