Change voicemail pin message
Got this text - on hold at T Mobile now. I made no such request.
Your new Voice Mailbox PIN has been set to XXXX. For new users, access your voicemail with a long-press "1" on your keypad. If you did not request this change, please contact Customer Care immediately by dialing 611
Per tech support ( I had a long conversation), it is wise to change your voicemail pin using your phone. Online help also advises turning on your pin. Normally it isn't required when you check voicemail using your own phone. Long press 1 on your phone keypad. Listen to the prompts.

Thank you for posting. I changed mine as well. Really angry at T-Mobile for this and the loss of 1.5 hours or my time trying to connect, searching my account, and changing my pin and greeting. It appears that it was automatically set to the last 4 of my 8 digit T-Mobile pin.

Support claimed it was a glitch in their system. It was disturbing as the msg contained the code I use to access my phone. I changed that out of an abundance of caution.
The pin in the message i received was a password that i use for my personal social accounts. Even more creepy!

The support person I got just tells me it was spam. What a load of crap. It HAD to come from their system.
Absolutely. Not just here, reddit users on r/tmobile are saying the same thing:

I want to know why T-Mobile is sending plaintext voicemail passwords over SMS in the first place… Huge security risk.

Yep I got that exact message too also from "129" number. Do I also need to call T-mobile?
