voicemail message suddenly in spanish

All of our phones voicemail default message etc are suddenly in Spanish (iPhone and android ).  Google says to go to my account/ voicemail to change it, but the my account menu has nothing about voicemail. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • I did see that there was some issues in the previous thread that you linked. I apologize for sharing the steps again before testing myself. I know that the option for changing the language is built into the automated system, so I walked through the voicemail this time to make sure I got the right steps.

When you call 123 it will immediately take you to your voicemail box.

Prensa * to get to the main menu.

Luego selecciona 4 to get to playback options.

Finally, select option 7 to change to Español

@HeavenM there has been posts that the tree you provided doesn't work and requires a call to Tmobile.

  • Wish I would have knew this sooner I went to homedepot and paid a guy to set it back for me. Best $0.50 I've ever spent.

The ability to change the language is built into the automated system when you call the voicemail (Dial 123 from your phone). You want to pause between each selection to allow the system time to enter that menu option. If you have issues with these selections, then you may need to call care, but most of the time a few selections in the menu will get that all fixed up.

When you call the system, press 4, that'll bring you to Opciones del buzón de mensajes.

Then, press 4 again and that'll take you to Opciones de reproducción.

Lastly, you'll press 7 to change the language to Español.

This worked perfectly!!! Thank you @HeavenM!!! 🙏

    Updated instructions:

Dial 123 from your phone to access voicemail

    Press * for main menu

Then press 4 for playback options

Then press 7 to change back to English. 😊

You can then change your greeting back to how you had it.

Yes thank you!! Worked for me too!!! I tried the first way, calling VM by holding down the "1" key, then choosing options "4...4...7" & it didn't work. But the second answer you left, saying to instead try "*...4...7" once the call to vm picked up, DID work (& didn't even have to enter a pin#). It was very easy, and soon as I tapped the 7, it started magically speaking in English again.

If you delete vm messages by "calling' in & tapping "7" to delete, rather than deleting through the visual vm app, you may have to call back right after and just choose "*...4...7" again to switch back to English. Because when you tap the 7 to delete a message, it also doubles as the option to change the language over to Spanish for some reason. Another community post said this as well, re the 7 key.

The trick is to enter you pin first (I'll use 1234 as an example). Also - let the "operator" talk for a litle bit before typing in the numbers. Pasos:

    1. Call 123 to access voicemail.
    2. Enter your PIN followed by #:  1234#
    3. Enter * to access menu:  *
    4. Enter 4 to acces options:  4
    5. Enter 7 to choose English: 7

    🤞🤞🤞
