Internet speeds slow after on Sagemcom after device upgrade
Originally on Nokia 5G21, modem stopped working, so was given a Sagemcom Fast 5688W.
Since upgrading, internet speeds have tanked, I’m maxing out around 300Kb/s, so it takes about an hour to download a GB file.
I can’t find any QoS or other settings in the app, or any other way to get to an advanced settings screen.
Has anyone found a way to manage connections beyond the default device/app interface?
@markmca the Sagemcom is a good gateway (I have it). If you are experiencing a decrease in download speeds, I would look at rotating or aligning your new gateway to better align with your tower. The antennas are placed on the corners of the unit. Most people have found positive results by using their T-Mobile Internet app to view the gateway metrics and then slightly rotate the gateway in a circular. manner at 1/8th turns. Check the results after you rotate the unit. You should see an improvement when the 5G antennas are pointing directly at your tower. You can use the Placement assistant to help with the process.
