New customers treated better than existing customers
I brought my friend into T-Mobile this weekend to change over her internet from Spectrum to T-Mobile. I have been raving about the service and she finally agreed to make the change. They signed her up for $30 a month (price will never go up). I am paying $50. I asked how I can get on that and they told me I'm out of luck. I have had T-Mobile for over 18 years. It's extremely frustrating they treat new customers better than old customers. ESPECIALLY when we are recommending new customers.

This is nothing new. Although some times there are referral bonuses, usually being a long term committed customer means absolutely bupkis.

Agree, move on. My cable internet has price matched TMHI @ $50 with faster speeds of 250mbps vs what I get this week of 11mbps due to my closest tower being down. When it is up, I get 50-100mbps.

I have Cox and the last time my contract was up I was able to renew for $64 a month including router. I'd rather pay that than the hit and miss of TMHI.

I'd cancel your existing service with T-Mobile, then reestablish it at the lower rate. If they question why you're doing it, tell them that's the only way you qualify for the lower rate. My bet is a supervisor will lower your monthly bill to $30 rather than go through the bother of returning the old modem and then sending out a new one to reestablish service.
