Your T-Mobile gateway will give a 192.168.12.x address to your Asus Router for it's WAN port using DHCP, you can also manually assign an address so it is always constant, won't change. To get your laptop to talk to your devices on the Asus wireless router you will need to add a route statement in your laptop for network 192.168.50.0/24 via Asus Router WAN IP address 192.168.12.x
@copz1998 , I understand that if I plug my desktop ethernet cable into my wireless router then I would get access to the wireless router's network. However, I don't want to do that. I want to use the second port available from the T-Mobile receiver as this will provide a much faster connection (being direct) rather than going through the wireless router. I figured since my wireless router and my desktop are both connected directly to the receiver that there may be a way for them to see each other.
