No internet on T-Mobile Hotspot
I recently purchased a T-Mobile 5G hotspot. The problem I'm having is, when I turn it on it boots fine but is VERY slow to connect to the internet. I get at least 3or more bars (usually 4 or 5) of 5G service, but the checkmark next to the globe stays anX with no internet. If I power cycle the unit it will sometimes connect right away but not always. Is this normal?5G Mobile Hotspot: location incorrect
I've had the 5G Hotspot box for a few months now. I have no specific issues with speed and connection. Sometimes my speeds gets pretty low but that's only happened a handful of times. What I DO have an issue with is location services on my iPhone XR. Often, it shows me at my home address, not at work or wherever. Sometimes it resets to my exact location after a few hours; sometimes not. This doesn't happen when I'm on the move, walking or driving, and it shows my exact location. But when I am static, any maps app shows me back at my home/billing location. Anyone else have this problem with the 5G Hotspot? Any fixes? Location corrects itself when I switch to an alternate wifi signal or cellular data, but sometimes resets itself back to my home/billing location. A T-Mo salesperson suggested replacing the battery on the phone but that didn't solve things either. My privacy/location services settings on the phone are also where they should be.
T-Mobile 5G Hotspot keeps resetting hotspot settings
I have aT-Mobile 5G Hotspot in my car and at least weekly the hotspot settings (SSID settings) are changed (reverted to what seems like factory defaults). I have a SSID configured for both the 2.4 and 5Ghz radios, with custom names. However, during this 'revert' the 2.4Ghz radio is disabled and the 5Ghz SSSID reverts to factory default name and password. The admin password doesn't change and is still the one it's set to, so it doesn't seem like the entire unit is reverting it's configuration, only the SSID settings.
