adding a line
4 TopicsWhat is required when adding a line
Hello all, Is it possible to add someone to a simple choiceplan if they don't have a US ID/Social security number? He recently immigrated here and his spouse has a Tmobile plan but they were wondering what ID if any they would need. They're going to be waiting 2+ years for his resident card so he only has his foreign passport until then.Solved4.2KViews0likes2ComentariosNot able to add a line to my account.
I've tried multiple times to add lines to my account through different browser and the app and haven't been able to add a line. I've ended up having to do it through twitter where they genioursley have waved the $30 fee since the site wasn't working. I just want to know why I wouldn't be able to do this on the site since going through Twitter requires a lot more time that I don't really have. ¡Gracias!872Visto0likes3ComentariosCostco Problems Activating New Line Grandfathered Plan
Just spent 5 hours at Costco Wireless Advocateskiosk trying to purchase 2 iPhone 14 under the BOGO promo andactivate 2 new linesto my Familytime Basic plan (yes it's almost 20 years old). First I purchased an SIM card andadded 1 new line(with my old device) to satisfy a Bring Your Own Devicepromo. Next Iwanted to add a second new line and get the BOGO iPhone 14 promo.I took my first new iPhoneandupgradedan existing line on my account. The problem camewhen I tried to add the second new line and activate the second newiPhone 14. At first I thought I had maxed out the new voice lines that I could add to my old plan.So I asked T Mo to cancelmy first line activation under the BYOD promo, so I could still qualify for theBOGO promo instead. They did that and assured me that they could cancel it in a way that wouldn't prevent me from re-adding the lineand getting another promo. But when they tried to add the line againand activate the phone, the Wireless Advocate system said the device wasn't compatible with my service. At first this didn't make sense since I had already activated the first new iphone as an upgrade to an existing line. But after I left the store, it occurred to me that when I addanynew line tomy old plan, that linedoes not come with data. It needs to be added as a separate service to each line. When I upgraded an existingline with my first new iphone, that line already had data service attached. Then when I added the first new line via SIM card, since the card isn't in the phone I'm guessing it wasn't an issue. But because the iphone 14 has a built in SIM and needs service with data attached, I'm wondering if that is what caused the problem. Does this make sense? If it does, is there a work around? The Wireless Advocate people are saying that they can't override their system. They weren't going to even try to call the T Mo customer service phone numberthat was part of the error message, but since they felt sorry for me they did try. The call wouldn't go through tho, so they gave up. Any help would be appreciated!305Visto0likes10Comentarioshome internet line getting added without requesting for it
When we added new accounts to my line 2 years ago, T-Mobile added home internet line for 30$. When asked they said it was an accident and they will remove it. I trusted them they would remove it. Since it was on autopay I did not check. Now that I identified that home internet line is still there for 2 years I called them and asked about it. They are now saying it's too long and we can only refund for 2 months. And more frustrating part is they sent me a email to return the device which we never got for a service which we never asked for and never used. the rep was saying it was my responsibility to check the bill and notify them of any discrepancies. as a customer am I responsible to check their work. How can this even be ethical. Looks like I am not the only one this is happening with. Does anyone on T-Mobile management even know this. Are they doing it in on purpose to meet their numbers for commission?10Visto0likes0Comentarios
