6 TopicsComplaint about Autopay CC vs Debit
This missive is just to let you know how poor of a decision it was to require a debit card for autopay. I did not even have a debit card. Well, now I have one for the first time in my decades long credit card usage and I am highly irritated. I was going to expand my T-Mobile portfolio but I am halting this transition from Verizon. Much ill will is flowing to T-Mobile now. Too bad.218Visto3likes5ComentariosAnyone else having issues using a Credit Union Debit Card?
When I signed up, I added my Credit Union's debit card. It failed to go through, so I added a bank debit card, then setup autopay with my Credit Union's debit card. When that failed, I added autopay with my bank's debit card (I usually disable this because there was initially fraud the first time I used it at an ATM). Anyway, I called my credit union and they said there were no charge attempts on the card. So …. does anyone else have problems w/ t-mobile and credit union debit cards? I'm re-adding it as the default payment option but due to the excessive call-in wait queues, idk how to have them check to make sure their system isn't garbage (they can't text my voip #, so there's one strike against them); the only reason I haven't closed my bank account is this stupid $5 monthly discount…. and in 60 days my bank is going to start charging about $12/mo for the privilege of having an account with them unless my balance is $30k. Thanks but no thanks; needless to say, I'm planning on closing that account once I can get thisT-mobile payment option sorted out.18Visto0likes0ComentariosT-Mobile Autopay using debt card
Got the following email from T-Mobile for my T-Mobile Home Internet payment. Oh no! Your payment didn't go through We weren't able to process your recurring electronic payment from your account XXXX. Because of the failed payment, you have been un-enrolled from AutoPay. Please make a one-time payment today at t-mo.co/pay and update AutoPay settings to avoid late fees and suspension and keep your AutoPay discount, if applicable. Thank you, Your T-Mobile Team Last month the payment was processed using the same card (without an issue) and there are ample funds in the account (the account is a debt card account). I logged into my account selected the payment option and the payment processed immediately. Even though I like T-Mobile issues like this make me very wary of their service.167Visto0likes1ComentarioI don't want to give T-Mobile access to all of my bank accounts transactions.
I went to set up ACH payments for T-Mobile to connect to my chase account, but as part of the setup Chase let me know that T-Mobile was requesting access to see all of my account balances and transactions…that is NOT needed for them to just auto debit from account and is really adeep invasion of my privacy.263Visto0likes2ComentariosAutopay discount now only available with direct back account with withdrawals?
You'd have to be crazy to give T-Mobile, a company with a history of data breeches, your banking info for direct withdrawals. This is a pure money grab designed to screw their customers over by eliminatingtheir autopay discounts because they know that only a complete moron would give them their banking info. I would never do that and if they eliminate my discount I'm switching to another carrier. I've already confirmed with both ATT and Verizion a cheaper or equal deal for service without having to use a direct bank withdrawal route. I suggest that every T-Mobile customer do this. ATT told me they're getting a lot of calls from outraged T-Mobile users. T-Mobile, this is a big mistake. You're really making a lot ofyour customers very angry. Unless you're prepared toguarantee in writing that you will replace all the money in my bank account in the event of a T- Mobile data breach resulting in my bank account being hacked, there ani't no way I'm giving you my bank account info. I don't share that with any company. You really should think twice about this terrible change.127Visto2likes1ComentarioWhy no longer using credit cards? I
I used to have my TMobile bill on auto-pay via my credit card. With no explanation, I was told I couldn't use my credit card, I had to use my debit card. Now, why would any fool give access to their checking account to a company to debit whenever they felt like it?61Visto0likes1Comentario
