cell tower
6 TopicsExternal Antenna Ports
Is there a new model of the Home Internet Gateway that includes the option of adding external cellular antennas? I see all these videos that show opening the gateway up and soldering in your own connections but we can't be the only ones that noticed the poor performance of the internal antennas. I know that being outside with the gateway makes the difference between getting a good signal outside and a poor signal outside and the signal to noise ratio improves too. I just don't want to put my gateway on the outside covered deck just to get a decent signal. I'm not sure what the temps and humidity will do to the unit over time. I've done the cell tower mapping and I know where my cell tower is located.Solved5.6KViews0likes13ComentariosTower upgrades taking weeks to complete?
I started having issues a couple of days ago and when I called they stated that the towers in my area are being upgraded. I asked how long this would take as I had no service for several days. They stated 3 to 4 weeks! How is this acceptable in this day and age for technology upgrades to takes weeks and deny service to customers? I should have said this is a safety issue as I could not reliable make calls and if I had an emergency how could I expect to get help. This is a sad state of affairs T-Mobile.2.9KViews4likes9ComentariosT-Mobile Home Internet 5G NOT USABLE / slow upload speed in Dallas, TX
This is frustrating the slower speeds, inconstant. T-Mobile Home Internet 5G is not so 5G When got the T-Mobile service I was hoping to be able to get rid of Spectrum, but if my upload speed does not improve I guess I will have to try ATT. I literally down the street from cell tower (end of the block). that shows to 5G available but I still do not seem to connect to it.2.3KViews3likes9ComentariosWhats Going On Lately With The Poor T-Mobile Internet Service???
For the past week to 10 days (Today is 8-24-22) T-Mobile Internet has been a waste of money….I believe they are messing with the tower configurations in my area...I use to get 100Mbps Download speed and now they are only mustering up a piddly 17-20Mbps. We've only had T-Mobile since the start of the year, but our cell and 5G home internet service was better than most other companies in the area. We consistently had 2-3 bars of 5G at all times. A few months ago we got the text that there was cell tower work being done in our area. Fast forward a week and we got notice that work was complete. From that point on our service will be at the normal 2-3 bars of 5G, but every 5-10 minutes (sometimes more often, sometimes less often) the service will drop to 1 bar of LTE. This is enough that it will drop any call, and our internet will drop out without question for 2-3 minutes of time. I have reset the network settings on our phone, as well as the 5G gateway. Being that this started after tower work I am wanting to know if there is a way to get engineers out to check the service in our area or to file a complaint, etc. I am beginning to regret switching everything from ATT now.Solved296Visto0likes3Comentarioscell tower dead zone
I live off of 75 (path valley road) and there is one tower on that road for tmobile but the trees and mountains block the coverage completely so i cant get it. i live closer to fannetsburg and theres a tmobile tower but i believe its 10 + miles away. my phone gets 2-1 bars but very unstable. I also have tmobile home internet lite and somehow when i put it in the highest part of my house i get 2-3 bars and it is somewhat consistent, but i feel like it could be better. yes i do live in the mountain but i believe there is potential for possibly another tower or a solution to my problem.129Visto0likes3Comentarios
