Sooooo. (T-Mobile) says in there advertising 33mb average for home internet. I live in the central Phoenix Metro area (T-Mobile) says it's a good connection for home internet my phone witch is also a T-Mobile 5g phone (one plus 7pro 5g) gets amazing speeds till I use up all the high speed Internet. Who else has slow speed??? I do speed tests on my phone and tablet and constantly get well below the 33mb that they say is the low end... Like 13-24mb slow... Disconnect from home internet and my phone instantly jumps up to 77-164mb so.... Not sure what is happening. Anyone have any advice? Should I disable the WiFi and get a stand-a-lone router that I can assign my own wireless channels?774Visto0likes9ComentariosConsistent disconnects and low speeds
Lately, I've noticed my connection dropping every few minutes for a couple seconds, just enough to disrupt anything that requires stable connection. On top of that, my speeds have gone down to 10-20 down and 30 up, (unless I'm talking to support, then they're miraculously 100+ both ways🙄 (that's a whole other conspiracy)) Support is claiming work on the tower, which is a possibility I suppose. Upon digging deeper into it though,I figured out which tower I'm connected to via CGI info, and it's literally the one in my backyard, 300 yards away. Now, I can see that tower from my desk, and there has not been any work there for months now. The driveway leading to it has a huge tree down across is. So unless it's remote updates, I don't think there's been work to it. Even more baffling, is that this tower, according to Cellmapper, doesn't even cover my home, it's apparently pointed the opposite direction. The tower that best covers me is 1.7 miles away. Advanced metrics reads as follows. Unfortunately, I never checked this info when times were good to compare it to now. The two that are currently "Good" do convert to "Excellent" a lot of the time. The "Poor" SINR is very rarely above a 4, no matter where it is in my house, and then other stats drop down in quality anyway.I've tried moving it around, and this is about as good as it gets location wise. Tool in the app confirms it as well. RSSI LTE - Excellent (-69) RSRQ 5G - Good (-12) LTE - Excellent (-7) RSRP 5G - Good (-84) LTE - Excellent (-78) SINR 5G - Poor (2) LTE - Excellent (21) Band 5G - n41 LTE - b66 Anyone have any idea what's going on?90Visto0likes1ComentarioDigital Touch Tone vs. Touch Tone
Technology can improve our daily lives and can also complicate them. Going forward at times, can result in going backwards. "If it isn't broke, leave it alone". Touch tone Old technology has a preprogrammed "tone" established, allowing a connection to be heard and passed through with correct information. Newer technology uses thousands of tones associated with 0-9 computer screen connections. " if you would like to receive this call pres 1", by pressing 1, this tone must connect with the exact receiving tone as the outgoing tone. If the tones do not exactly match, you mayfind yourself pressing "Beethoven" vs "Motzart". Your call will not connect if your note does not match the receiving note. How do companies address this issue? After several agents pass the buck, hang up on you and you finally manage an agent without preprogrammed bot mentality, you will discover a claim to their technicians will be processed for further review. Usually a 3 day or week process. Akind agent will brief you upon this expected length, though technically this is a breech in policy, some agents are actually still bread with human decency. A history of incomming lines will be viewed for their tone matching capabilities to rule out whose playing b flat. Once identified a tune up follows. However as with all instruments, those musicians know nothing ever stays perfectly in tune. Going forward can at times mean, your really better off sometimes with one octave than with multiple octaves, as there are less variables of your touch tone being unable to play the exact reciprocating frequencies needed to simply....connect calls. Life is a balance of machine and mankind. Machines are only as good as they are programmed. A good company will never put policy over their paying customers. A company is only as good as its character, not of its policies. Policies are fluid rules needing to bend with the tide of current needs. A company unwilling to address their outdated or unacceptable policies, will find their "product" will never support their character. But quality of Character will always support a product.110Visto0likes1ComentarioSignificant Drop off in home internet speed
I signed up with T Mobile Home Internet in February 2021. At the time, they told me that I was in an excellent coverage area and would get at a minimum 50 mbps. I had no issues and did receive 50+ mbps until last week. Now i receive 6-7 mdps, occasionally reaching 10-12. I have spent 3+ hours on the phone with service reps and tech reps only for them to tell me that I am in a poor coverage area and cannot get anymore than what I am currently getting. How can i go from a excellent coverage area to a poor coverage area in 1 day? This is deceptive practices by T Mobile, selling you on 50 and charging you for 50 only to throttle you later on because of "upgrades to the tower" with no ETA on when or if you will be put in a better coverage area. Buyer beware. this is a shady compay with shady business practices2KViews0likes10ComentariosOptimizing Home Internet for consistent upload speed
Hi everyone! I have been through hell trying to get the most consistent service using my new home internet setup. I initially got the grey cylinder and through some troubleshooting / research / 20+ hours on the phone with fairly useless tech support via the Philipenes but have recently gotten a second line with the Arkadian model. I just set up the new device and am not getting anywhere near the speeds from the grey cylinder + a TP-link wifi router that seemed to boost the signal a good bit. Do I need to get another router for this new device? Or a wifi booster? Or should I connect directly to the black box with a good ethernet cord?My job relies on very consistent and fast upload bitrate so ultimately that is the goal. So far, I've tried everything except reaching out here so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask! Any/all advice would be very helpful!Thanks!!!298Visto0likes1ComentarioTaking the 5G Wifi Gateway to places other than your home
I don't just use my Nokia 5G Home internet gateway at my home, I also take it to friends places, the public library, and it still works well and is stable while mobile with it. Shockingly, specific addresses where T-Mobile claims their 5g home internet isn't available, I take my gateway in that area and it works fine. Has anybody else experimented with it in this way? I love patterns and have a curious mind.1.2KViews1like3ComentariosNewly Installed LTE Home Internet, Now Slow Speed...
Just installed the LTEHome Internet yesterday and worked great out of the box after setup, called AT&T and cancelled the internet service right away. Now today my internet speeds are way down. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a way to reliably test the internet Up/Down speeds? Signal thing says very good with four bars. Would like my speed to be back up again. Side note, we are a large family with easily 15-20 devices that would connect to the router.5.4KViews0likes10Comentarios
