home internet gateway
4 TopicsT-Mobile Home Internet Gateway "No USIM" error
I recently just purchased the T-Mobile Home internet service but upon turning on the device at home, instead of automatically going to a software update or displaying the connection signal strength, it gave me an error saying "No USIM". At first I thought there was no sim card in the device. After checking the sim card holder, there was in fact a sim card installed. After many calls to T-Mobile's customer service team, no troubleshooting step they gave me worked. I have tried turning it on and off, factory reset, uninstalling and reinstalling the sim card, and still the same "No USIM" error occurs. After many unsuccessful attempts, I eventually just called and ordered a new sim card. New sim card comes in, not surprisingly doesn't work. At this point of writing, I am considering taking the device back to the original store I received it from and getting a replacement router. Any idea how to fix my problem before I take the device back to the store? My device is the Cylinder 5GNokia Router btw.Solved12KViews2likes8ComentariosExternal Antenna Ports
Is there a new model of the Home Internet Gateway that includes the option of adding external cellular antennas? I see all these videos that show opening the gateway up and soldering in your own connections but we can't be the only ones that noticed the poor performance of the internal antennas. I know that being outside with the gateway makes the difference between getting a good signal outside and a poor signal outside and the signal to noise ratio improves too. I just don't want to put my gateway on the outside covered deck just to get a decent signal. I'm not sure what the temps and humidity will do to the unit over time. I've done the cell tower mapping and I know where my cell tower is located.Solved5.6KViews0likes13ComentariosHome Internet Gateway WiFi Channel
I have theT-Mobile Home Internet Gateway (aka 5G Gateway) based on the Sagemcom chipset. Model: Sagemcom FAST5688W Firmware:SGJi10205-1.2.B4 It keeps selecting the most congested WiFi channel in our condo, it's very strange. Can I use the "Nater-Tater" config file approach (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8s3ZhGYEl2I) to change the WiFi config, similar to the Arcadyan KVD21 that Nate uses? Thank you in advance.499Visto1like0ComentariosGateway restarting on its own issue solution
If you have recently been experiencing your gateway consistently restarting on its own, I have figured the hard way after replacing the gateway 2x,SIM card & power cord replaced 1X, factory resets and full replacement provided by a local store that the1 thing I had not tried was changing my Network passwords and that did the trick. I know it is a pain, but worth it!299Visto0likes6Comentarios
