Anyone else experience this problem? So I spent the day on the phone trying to get the replacement iPhone 7 plus 128 for a phone that was diagnosed as having a mechanical issue. The phone was replaced last year and I was sent to Apple, as per T-Mobile, for a replacement under the manufacturers warranty. Seems Apple gave me a non-t-mobile phone and T-Mobile was not going to cover it. Gave me several reasons including that it was out of warranty! I have been paying for coverage almost $15 each month! Even told me that the phone is not covered for mechanical failures once the warranty expires. So they are saying that they sold me insurance that is only valid during the manufacturers warranty period. Unreal. They even tried to say Apple should be responsible. How? I am insured with Assurant for this problem. Even Assurant agreed the phone is suppose to be covered but that T-Mobile has directed them to refer issues such as this to T-Mobile for replacement, etc. So finally T-Mobile agreed to replace the phone but now they do not have a iPhone 7 plus with 128 gb storage. So they say, oh we can upgrade you and will give you $350 off an iPhone X and keep the non working brick. Wow, what a deal. I can easily go buy a phone at Costco for the same type of similar deal or go to any other store. So bottom line is T-Mobile and Assurant are pointing at each other and not honoring the coverage agreement which I have been paying for over the last 2 years.. Only option is to file for arbitration against Assurant on this as per the coverage contract.2.1KViews4likes10ComentariosTmobile 360 Insurance & Assurant = False Promises
I strongly advise not to get Tmobile insurance, don't make the mistake I did... It sounded good 4 years ago, when Applecare didn't have lost & stolen option... So last week at the end of July in 2023, I needed to replace my battery it's at 77% health... Tmobile store sends me to Apple store, I was told that I have to go back to Tmobile since the phone is older than 2 years (normally they would replace it or install new fresh battery at 100% health). I go back to Tmobile, waited 20 mins for help... they order me a phone. They didn't notify me that it was ready for pickup, so 4 days later I went in inquiring about it, they check and had it there the entire time... $5 for the exchange of phone cost, also it's a refurb... I asked if the battery was new, they said it was... then told me the transfer backups will take more than 6 hours, had to come in next day in the morning, because they don't allow you to take the phone home to do the transfer... So after leaving my personal phone for like 6 hours there, they call me up the transfer completed and you can pickup the phone... Got there, checked everything out only to realize the refurb battery health was only at 78%... 1% better than my phone! I was shocked, a bit angry, and couldn't believe I wasted this much time on this BS process... I wanted to yell at the top of my lungs, but held it in store, my face was probably super red... I asked the Tmobile rep, why is the phone battery not new... why couldn't they replace the battery of my old phone with a new one instead, and if I could just annul this whole process and keep my old phone... Their policy is they can't do that and that they can only order another phone (refurb probably again) and that I would basically have to count my luck on the lottery that the battery will be better than both these current phones.... They can't help with anything else, besides me having to call 611 or corporate to grieve about my issue... Which I had to and the options I have are either they can replace the phone again, get an upgrade (i don't want to till the 15 comes out), or go to a 3rd party repair shop to get an estimate... a weekend past and I'm still waiting for a call back... and I'm asking myself why I paid $18/mon for 4+ years just so I have to go through this BS process and do all this work myself?!... Oh on top of that my google authenticator info didn't transfer over when they asked me to erase my old phone... I spent the last two days trying to get apps (tesla, banking & financial, etc) and accounts (email, software, etc) to get resolved and log back into them... (Don't do Google Authenticator! Go with SMS text (they say less secure, you'll thank me as it's much easier in life and I think with all the hacking, it's still plenty safe) otherwise, those who won't let you do phone #/SMS, go with Microsoft 2FA or 2FAS for iPhone). Next phone upgrade, will be Applecare+ w/lost & stolen option directly with Apple! I apologies for the long TLDR post/rant!, I just had so much stress and things going wrong over a week, just over a simple battery replacement... Besides all this mumbo-jumbo, I still think with my grandfathered plan, T-Mobile has an excellent phone plan pricing for my family and I, but their customer service in store sux and same with their upgrades (need to upgrade to the latest plan +add lines) went downhill over the pandemic!615Visto3likes3ComentariosAssurant will not let me get my screen repaired
I have a Samsung S20 FE 5G & I cracked the glass but not the screen, I went to file a claim & Assurant won't give me the option to have my phone repaired at the CPR store in town even though they said they could if I had my claim code. The difference is a New Phone at $99 deductible or repair the screen at $29, of course they want me to replace my phone but I have tons of music on my phone I don't want to lose & why can't I just get it repaired? They have given me the run around whe calling saying there's not a center in my area & then when I said there is they said they cannot fix my model, even though the store told me they can.3KViews2likes11ComentariosWhat does this "server error" message mean?
I'm trying to upgrade my phone, and I keep encountering the same error. I've run into it on both the phone app and the desktop site. In my account, I click "upgrade". It lets me choose the model I want, the color/ memory size, and the payment options (so far, so good). When I click the next "upgrade" button, it tells me to select which of family members is getting the device. Ok, cool. I select myself. My new device requires an upgraded insurance policy. There's only 1 button: "Yes, protect my plan." It's... weird that I can't opt out of this charge, but I planned to insure it anyway, so ok. I click the button. And this is what I get. I've been trying to upgrade since last Friday, but this is what shows up every. single. time. Is there a known issue with this functionality? Or is something amiss with my account? And why am I forced to pay for the insurance? Shouldn't there be a "No thanks" button or something?Solved6.2KViews1like12ComentariosWhy no loaners?
Why is T-mobile not offering loaners to customers that have spent hundreds of dollars on insurance for phones while they are sent in for repair? I have to wait a week plusfor my phone to be repaired and during that time there is zero option for me to have a phone without spending more of my money. I went to a T-mobile store yesterday and they suggested I take my phone to Best Buy and pay for the repair on my own. How messed up is that customer service? Please tell me why I should continue giving you 300 a month? I called the 800 number and was told there is nothing they will do for me. Basically T-mobile knows this is happening but isn't doing anything for the customer stuck in between this massive merger.3.4KViews1like3Comentarios
