line cancellation
9 TopicsAnyone else experienced a PAID line being added to their account without your authorization, and then had issues with T-Mobile when trying to remove the added line and get a refund?
Upgraded and bought a new iPhone in a T-Mobile store on 04/22/2022 - I am unfortanely just now noticing after reviewing my yearly reports for tax season approaching, that there was a data line added to my services/bill on the same day, for an apple watch?! The charge was insignificant in cost enough for me to never notice too much of a difference, and the sales representative in the store explained to me the new bill amount and an increase being due to the monthly amount I would be charged for the iPhone payment plan option to pay month for a phone instead of paying in full. I am now trying to have the line removed but the customer service dept. has only tried to tell me I am wrong and that I activated this on my own MONTHS prior to 4/22/22, which is so far from true. I have only ever used my apple watch on wifi/connected to my phone via bluetooth. After reviewing my usuage overview for 2022, each month shows the additional line and every month has 0.00GB of data used. I found this information through my t-mobile account but yet the customer service reps I've spoken to (which has been several now) all seem incompentent and unable to find similar information to show that this change was unauthorized. In addition, the representatives only focus seems to be on conversion or a new sale, rather than doing actual customer service. What happens to customer service??? Anyone had similar experiences? What did you have to do to get T-Mobile to cooperate and help? Do I need to file claim with the Better Business Bureau you think? Anyone filed with the BBB before, and if so, did you have any good results from it? I just want a line removed and something credited to my account for the near year I have paid for a service I never signed up for or authorized, and it seems impossible.1.4KViews0likes10ComentariosCancellation dirty tricks
T-Mobile does not allow you to cancel a line online. So I called up and the rep - who I believe was in the Philippines and a little hard to understand - tells me that canceling in the middle of my billing cycle will incur a charge and I needed to wait and cancel on the first day of my next cycle in order to avoid that charge. She also offers to suspend that line (which you can do online and it costs $10 a month). I decline that and hang up thinking I would call back on the first day of my next billing cycle. But after I hung up I felt that didn't make any sense. So I called back and again got a rep who appeared to be in the Philippines and a little difficult to understand. She also did what the first rep had done - tried to talk me into converting the tablet line that I was canceling into a voice line. She told me that if I canceled I would be ineligible for specials. But she ultimately was willing to cancel and did not mention the charge that the other rep had said would be incurred if I canceled mid month.15KViews0likes16ComentariosCancel 1 Line
I have called the 611 number and waited long periods of times in order to reach out to customer service in order to cancel 1 line that is on my plan. May I please have an alternative way to cancel 1 of my lines because I do not wish to continue service for one of my lines as I am not receiving payment for it.Solved4.5KViews0likes12Comentarios- 1.2KViews0likes1Comentario
Horrid Customer Service
Attached is correspondence with a T mobile represenative when inquierring about why a plan had been suspended but account was charged. No resolution was given and after multiple attemps of requesting help from someone else and explaining my unique problem I've decided to move to a public forum because the service I recieved was inadeuate and honestly theft at this point. If a represenative would please reach out via email before the situation escallates further that would be a welcoemed change of tune from this compnay. email tscott64@student.cscc.edu115Visto0likes1ComentarioMoving phone numbers between lines, on same account.
Hello. I upgraded 2phones recently, and had to add 2 additional lines to my account. No big deal, I understand the game. However, when I activated the 2 lines, T-Mobile decided to give 2 random phone numbers to the new lines, instead of adding the 2 phones I just purchased. They added the 2 new phones to my existing lines, of which have run their 2 year course (mandatory 2 years for each additional line). When I called to remove the 2 old lines, I was told I could not remove the 2 old lines since they were being used by my new phones, and cannot remove the 2 new lines eithersince they need to be active for 2 years. *Hope yall are still with me* I asked if they could move the phone numbers to the 2 new lines (which should have happened to begin with), so I could close the 2 old ones, and they would not do that. So now I am stuck paying for 2 extra lines that I do not need. Anyone been in this situation and have some good advice. So far the only solution I have will risk loosing my current phone numbers, of which I am strongly trying to avoid. Thank you all.1.5KViews0likes1Comentario
