Android: Google Carrier Services app?
I recently received a T-Mobile branded OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren. I used Google's transfer function to set it up copying files and apps from my Moto G7 Power. This resulted in several duplicate apps, including Contacts, Messaging, etc. I deleted the non-OnePlus versions of these apps, however there's one app that copied over that I don't know about. It's Google Carrier Services. The description in the Play Store reads, "Carrier Services enables the latest communication services from mobile carriers, including battery-optimizations and support for enhanced features in the Android Messages app." I don't know if this serves any purpose under the Oxygen OS or not. Will I give up anything by deleting it?T-Mobile retroactively removes status updates related to software updates
The company T-mobile has removed the page for tracking Android 12 Development for the OnePlus 7T Pro I made my purchase decision with the promise that T-mobile would be able to handle updating the phone to the software that the manufacturer has already finished working on. A year later, and they've taken down the page for the OnePlus 7T Pro, seemingly throwing in the towel on this project and those customers. Remember, never buy a product based on future promise, because even if T-mobile promises on a website that this phone will get Android 12, they'll just 404 that page when satisfying their customers is inconvenient compared to making money.
OnePlus 9 Pro 5G Android 13
So, I take it android 13 won't be coming to the OnePlus 9 Pro? I keep going back to check the update status and it says in development. It's been in development for awhile now. From my understanding the 9 Pro update was already pushed out to all models. EU, India, and NA. What's the hold up? Anyone know?
