samsung galaxy s21 ultra
5 TopicsUnlocked s21 Ultra showing as "Unknown Device" and not supporting 5G or Extended Range LTE on My Mobile account
I just bought an unlocked S21 Ultra directly from Samsung. It works great, including the tmobile voicemail app and RCS through the Google messages app. It says I'm connected to 5G on the phone, and I get 150+mbps download from home on speedtest.net The problem is that thetmobile account website shows this: The problems with this is: Mostimportant: I have free phone repair insurance through my Uber Visa Signature credit card. In the past, when I filed a claim, they required a screenshot of the account to show that I have the device I'm filing a claim for on the tmobile account that I pay monthly through my credit card. I would have issues proving that I have an S21 Ultra on my tmobile account if it says "unknown device:" I'm worried I'm not getting the best speeds or roaming experience if I were to take a road trip in a rural setting. 150mbps+ from home is good enough in the major city that I live in, andI'm sure it'll be better if I get closer to the tmobile cell phone towerwhich is 3 blocks away. How do I get this phone to show as "Samsung S21 Ultra" instead of "unknown device"? I don't see any option online to specify this.12KViews4likes53ComentariosT-Mobile 5G Connection Issues causing missed Texts, Calls, and Voicemail - NO DATA!
I just don't understand the disconnect or differences in the 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G wireless generations and why 5G seems to be so different. I never had to second guess what my status bar is indicating. I have had "5G" connection issues on Apple, Samsung, and now Google devices. Random errors like "emergency calls only" or no signal whatsoever. Or full 5G UC access - yet I can dial my phone and watch it not ring or indicate a missed call. I can even send a text message or leave a voicemail and neither ever arrive. Thought this issue was limited to Samsung and Apple. Got a Pixel - same issue - so I think it's the Tech itself and/or the tower but not the devices. Had 5G + on my Pixel 6 - placed a call while out and it rang but left voicemail - nothing. Realized the voicemail didn't pop up - tried again - nothing. Then I got a "missed" call. Yet no ring. When asked, the person said it rang but it was a long delay, and it didn't seem like a regular ring. Not sure why this is but when 5G is enabled, at some point your device "disconnects" from the network and you have no idea you have missed any contact attempts. Turn 5G off? Walla! Issues are gone. Smh Did those two voicemails ever pop up? Nope! Still waiting. Imagine if someone called me during this time, left their dying will on my voicemail and I would not have any clue they called me, let alone that they left a message. Meanwhile my phone shows connected and full 5G access. T-Mobile engineers need to speak on this, and they need to stop this 5G push if it isn't even reliable. NEVER had to ponder if my device is connected or not with LTE. NEVER. I guess I will try 5G when 6G comes out ……….4.9KViews8likes14ComentariosNo Android 12 Update for S21 Ultra
Purchased S21 ultra from Best Buy as device upgrade for Tmobile line about 5 days ago. Device itself is Tmobile (verified by tmobile and their Samsung support). Problem is that it doesn't seem to be getting any update from Tmobile's servers. Contacted TM and they transferred to their Samsung support. Samsung support blamed tmobile and stated its their responsibility to push the update. Tmobile said to wait for 48-72 hours. Been waiting for a while now and no Android 12 update. I could update the firmware on my own using third party solutions but I shouldn't have to as there's risk involved with that. My return period from Best Buy will end soon. Need to figure out if this device will get the update or not. My S21 was on Android 12 for almost a month until I traded it in. Another family member has S21 Ultra and their device is also running 12. Need this figured out fast as my return period is ending soon.1.6KViews0likes6ComentariosSamsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Firmware Update Not Completed
Not sure what to do my phone updated a couple days ago and still has this notification saying "Firmware update not completed Next Auto Retry 08:15pm". I've rebooted the phone a few times over the past couple of days along with removing apps I not longer use in case it was a space issue. Any advice appreciated!179Visto0likes1Comentario
