Re: 5G Home Internet nightly slow down
I have the same issue that everyone else is having and if course we would be heavy users of data when we stream TV, etc. I am going back to my internet company and get wired in for consistency. I don't just slow down sparatically and never at a given time but if it was any slower I would be going backward. I haven't been able to watch a full 1/2 hour show in a year. I have done all the placements, re pacements, bought expensive boosters etc and nothing works. I don't even get 5G readings in the app. I have missed calls, messages, work calls etc. Can't do it anymore. T-Mobile just lied to the public to get the sales pure and simple. End of rant.1Ver0likes0ComentariosRe: Is anyone else having problems with a changing IP address?
Not only is my IP address changing frequently but my mac address is now changing as well! I too had a third party router set up to take the load off of my Sagemcon and all of a sudden it is not running as a stand alone router anymore. Also, the Sagemcon shows all devices as being connected even though they no longer are. Reset doesn't take any off the connected list either. Anyone else experiencing these problems?0Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Poor Internet speed and not reliabity
I too get horrible speeds and as low as 18mbps! How's that for the most reliable 5g service? I don't even get 5g readings and this constant buffering is getting worse by the day and I have numerous towers around me. I get better speeds when I have only 2 bars on the gateway than when I get 5 which was once and just briefly. I have had the gateway for a year now, have bought an expensive booster which did help some but should not have to spend that kind of money to get the service promised. I had AT & T previously and never had these issues and I wish I had never left them because I can no longer get that service at my location now. T-Mobile in my opinion has lost its customers a lot of good service with the promise of faster speeds and better service. Liars!!! I work from home occasionally and can not get on the sites needed now with t-mobile due to the constant buffering. And I am tired of having to constantly call them for solutions. My time is worth money and they should reimburse me for all my time spent, messages and phone calls that I never receive or receive hours later. End of rant. Thanks for listening.2Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: New here! Here is your fix for connection issues and thermal throttling!
Criplgamer wrote: I have posted in some other threads on what to do to fix it. Please update your firmware by factory resetting it before attempting the below. But the firmware was just one part of the issue. It's the temps and wifi interference that's causing it all . Multiple YouTube vids proving my hypothesis. Here is the short version. 1.Buy a fan 120mm with usb-C connector from Amazon $15 that has pads on bottom. Also a can of PC parts duster. 2.Unplug modem. 3.Flip modem over and take screws out. 4.Take out sim. 5. Remove battery from modem(keep it just in case u need to send back). 6. Put back together and sim in it. Plug in. 7. Place on top of fan with air blowing through and out the top.Fan plugs into usb-C port. 8. Turn off internal wifi said and get an external Wi-Fi 6 mesh system. This is a process that takes a few minutes. There are like 12 SSIDs to turn off. Why they are all broadcasting by default is beyond me.(If you have multiple users it causes it to thermal throttle and the built in wifi router causes massive interference problems .) I suggest TpLink Deco, Tenda, or anything Netgear Nighthawk mesh. Google wifi eero(yuck) ECT. 9. Enjoy your internet worry free . Dust it once a week or so to keep it clean. I'm here to help anytime. Please reach out if you need help. I will be modding my 5G router for external antennas to get the most out of it but the above fixes 99% of users issues . Mesh network if you don't own one is about $80 to $300 depends on what you wanna spend . Fan is $15 Yes it will take some time but the built in wifi router (not their great 5g modem inside) is just not great. It overheats with a load on it, as does the modem which thermal throttles. The above should remedy MOST people's issues and if it still doesn't work, replace the battery, and send it back ! Hope this helps y'all! Hit me up if you need help or was as frustrated as myself with no real help out there ! I have the sagemcon and have to use shell command to turn off wifi. I only see 1 - 2. 4 and 1 - 5 g to be turned off. Am I missing something to turn off others? Everyone is saying multiples but I don't see any. I am using a nighthawk r7000 as a router but not sure if I did that correctly either. Help?6Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Good signal/bars but no network connection many times daily
I have the same issue with my android, my husband does with his phone and all the tv's buffer constantly and lose connection on and off. I pay for a service that I am not receiving and it is getting very frustrating to constantly reboor, restart, reset. It dusrupts every piece of equipment I own. I can't tell you when the last time I saw a TV show without interruption. Oh yes I can, when I had AT & T! T-Mobile needs to get their act together if they want to stay in the home internet, fastest provider category provider. My advice to anyone thinking to switch DON'T!!!7Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Netflix on us issue
I agree 100% with you Netflix on us sucks. I have been a Netflix customer for 15 years and never an issue now it's every day all day buffer, won't connect, etc. Of course my T-Mobile Home Internet does the same thing constantly and getting worse. Never have I been able to watch so little TV but yet am on it forever staring at a black screen. And now they offer Hulu yet tell you Hulu doesn't work with their service. What am I missing here? T-Mobile is the worse internet you will ever have!!!11Visto0likes0ComentariosLoss of internet nightly
Why is it that internet is not available every night now? This is beyond ridiculous that the gateway shows a good signal but I have no interrnet. I didn't sign up for this that's for sure! I am moving the router around, have a night gear nighthawk that I use to take the burden off the T-Mobile router, bought a cell signal booster and still face this nightly! I work from home from time to time and rely on the internet working to do that and it needs to be reliable. How much money do I have to spend for this internet to work properly? And I don't want to be lectured about cell phones and priority, if T-Mobile wants to be an internet provider then they need to stop the \and get it together. I have cell phone and internet with them and still service sucks! Anyone alse feeling this pain as well?23Visto0likes0ComentariosSlow down and dropped signal
Every day between noon and at least 8 PM this service slows down, lags and drops signals. If it gets any slower some days, I swear it would run faster in reverse! The Sagemcon has a good signal but yet no internet. This is becoming more and more frequent and is very disruptive for those of us having to work from home. If you can't get your service running better to those of us that are on it then quit selling more devices and adding congestion to overcrowded towers until you can upgrade, add more, do something!53Visto0likes1Comentario
