Re: Free Apple + TV offer

Being a Sprint customer is irrelevant in this case, even T-Mobile consumers are getting the same message and are unable to activate their free Apple TV+ (me being one of them), in fact most complaints are from existing T-Mobile Magenta plan consumers.5Visto6likes0ComentariosRe: Free Apple + TV offer
Same here and looking around various forums and newsgroups, it seems the majority of people are having issuesand chatting with an "expert" is frustrating to say the least from most of the complaints. It's been a rough few weeks for T-Mobile for sure!8Visto6likes0ComentariosRe: Free Apple + TV offer
I was just able to redeem, I kept pressing "Retry" every 5-10 minutes (as I'm working from my desk anyway so it was easy for me to do). It finally went through and I have redeemed it. It also stacks. We had 12 months free from an previous deal when we bought a new iPadand this added to it, so our free subscription now expires mid 2023!6Visto3likes0ComentariosRe: I am about to give up on TMobil
On each of the major carrier forums I see so many unhappy consumers but yet they have not moved on despite threats of "ditching" or"giving up". Every carrier has it's problems and we are too eager to point out all the negatives on public forums such as support groups and social media. T-Mobile is far from perfect (as we have currently seen with the data hack), but Having been a Verizon and AT&T consumer in the past, as well as Sprint with a work account, each has had it's own network issues. When I get to the point I am frustrated by onecarrier and it becomes "unbearable", I move on and try a different carrier. It's not always about cost, it's about service and if that "perfect" carrier ever emerges, let me know. For now at least, let's stop kidding ourselves, because that perfectiondoesn't exist in any carrier so choose one based on your currentneeds (and that also goes for the phone you wish to use).3Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: Free McAfee for the Data Breach
Jeannie wrote: I tried to sign up with McAfee for Free because of the Data Breach and got the email from McAfee. The way T-Mobile has it written, is that they have "No information that indicates any passwords, postpaid PIN numbers, or financial or payment information has been compromised". The email from McAfee wants me to give THEM my personal information to protect my data - They should get the information from T-Mobile. I'm sure T-Mobile can get this service provided to their customers without us having to Disclose our personal information once again Because the service isn't provided by T-Mobile, it's provided by McAfee. Now think about all the information (not just what T-Mobile may have had) that could potentially be used to steal someone's identity. Do you think T-Mobile has access to all of that? And would you want T-Mobile to set an account with username and password on your behalf with all that information with their current track record? Fivehacks now in 4 years., are you sure you want T-Mobile to "get this service provided to their customers without us having to Disclose our personal information once again"? Remember that while no indication that personal financial or payment information, credit or debit card information, account numbers, or account passwords were accessed, "the exact personal information accessed varies by individual. We have determined that the types of impacted information include: names, drivers' licenses, government identification numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, T-Mobile prepaid PINs (which have already been reset to protect you), addresses and phone number(s)".3Visto1like0ComentariosRe: theft of personal data

lazmo wrote: Perhaps this has led to a delay in the proceedings? > "T-Mobile data-breach website lets anyone sign up for identity-theft protection" https://www.tomsguide.com/news/t-mobile-data-breach-identity-theft-protection As crazy as it may seem, let's look at this from another perspective. What about the former T-Mobile consumer that decided to cancel his plan within the last year or so? What about the consumer that applied service recently but due to whatever reason, was denied? The hack did not just involve the personal information of current consumers but also that offormer and prospective consumers too. Therefore T-Mobile also owes it to them to offer protection does it not? How do you reach those people? Do the have to have a T-Mobile account/number to be able to take part in this offer? That would seem a little unfair if that was the case.3Visto1like0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile Data Breach

It's been more than a week, meanwhile I'm sure the folks that stole the information had it up on the dark web within minutes. Mine did indeed arrive in my spam folder and a few colleagues have also told me that their email arrived in their spam folders too.3Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Making the switch from Boost mobile
Why would T-Mobile allow you to keep your Boost Mobile plan? Virgin Wireless was bought out by Sprint in 2009 and they did offerextremely tweakable "custom" service plans. Boost Mobile was a also a subsidiary of the Sprint Corporation but in July 2020 Boost mobile becameowned and operated by Dish Network. T-Mobile did, in April of 2020, become the new owners of Boost Mobile butthe merger between Sprint and T-Mobile was slowed by the United States Department of Justice, after it raised concerns over a lack of competition in the telecommunications industry. Eventually, Dish entered the talks and agreed to purchase Sprint assets, including its prepaid business. As for current promotions on T-Mobile though, you can find all the information here.15Visto1like0ComentariosRe: I am about to give up on TMobil

ATT was hit a few days later..last Thursday or Friday And AT&T are still in denial even thoughShinyHunter's history of major data breaches and exploits means that it is likely the breach actually occurred. However, the data has not yet been linked to AT&T customers specifically, it only appears to be valid. Researchers suspect that ShinyHunters was able to access customer data including names, phone numbers, physical addresses, email addresses, Social Security numbers, and birth dates.3Visto1like0Comentarios
