I'm not very far from a tower and I've tried the Nokia Gateway all over the house! It does not matter how far you are from the tower what matters is signal quality. Phone app is a bit limited go to192.168.12.1 on your computer web browser. First page expand Primary and secondary internet connection signal all that info is needed screen shot ok too. Then on the left click Status and again expandPrimary and secondary cellular network again all that data or screenshot. Again need RSRP SNR RSRQ RSSI For both primary and secondary. And Band for both. With this info we can help you. RSRP the lower the number the better. SNRhigher is better on this one. RSRQ lower is better. RSSI lower is better. Hi! I am having the same issue, poor speeds and a tower is in sight. I read what you wrote, go to 192.168.12.1 modems page IP address but I have no left click ability and cannot expand anything on the root page of 192.168.12.1. when I go to that IP it gets redirected to: //192.168.12.1/home and all I see is Home, Connection status section where it shows Devices --- Wifi gateway ----- Internet then below that two boxes, left box shows Connection Quality which says Very good, and right box that says, Gateway and then below it firmware, UI version, serial number, etc. How do I open the page where it shows RSRP, SNR, RSRQ and so forth? I installed the TMobile 5G home internet and it works pretty good. I'm in rural PA and only get poor reception for TMobile. Does anyone know if the LAN interface is bridged to the WIFI interface? It seems that my Wifi devices cannot see the devices on the LAN interface. There are literally no settings in the device that I can control. As soon as I got this thing I wanted to put it on a designated subnet but that seems impossible. Seems that 192.168.12.x is hardcoded. I got around the subnet issue but now I need to bridge the lan and wifi interfaces. It seems almost as if the wifi interfaces are firewalled against the the lan interfaces. Thanks, DavidHow to change the Wifi and LAN IP subnet
I just got a Tmobile 5G Home hotspot and set it up. It's working but it's built in DHCP server is handing out a subnet of 192.168.12.x /24 on both the Wifi and LAN ports. I would like to change this, or at least change the Wifi. The built in wifi will be useless to me unless I can change this IP. I have a home internet distribution system, Cisco access points on all the floors that blow away the built in wifi this thing has. And I don't trust the security in this device to keep my networks secure. If anyone knows how to change the IP please let me know. Thanks, David2.2KViews0likes5Comentarios
