Being charged fees and taxes on old addresses
I recently looked back at my billing history, and I am being charged T-Mobile fees and charges as well as government taxes on fees on 3 separate addresses. One address I haven't lived at in over 10 years, and the other address I moved from 4 years ago. Has anyone had that happen to them?

I called today and escalated the call to the supervisor. They refunded me back $216 for 5 years of taxes on an address I haven't lived at for years. It was in a whole other state! Apparently, when you call in to do an address change, the representative is supposed to ask whether or not you wish to change your E911 address. This address allows emergency services to determine the location of each phone or device, in case they need to call 911.
They never ask about changing your E911 address - that is the same bs they told me. They told me that I had to "manually" change all of the addresses not just the billing address.

This is also happening to me. Being billed taxes and fees on addresses dating back to 2006. T-mobile will not give me my old statements so I can verify what the charge me. They keep promising the statements, then nothing. When I first complained about this, they offered to refund me for 3 months of overcharges. When I said no, you need to refund me for all the overcharges, they changed their story. Now they are saying the taxes are "included" in my monthly plan. Yet there are separate line items for them on my bill. They talk in circles. I'm so pissed about this. I'm considering going to the Attorney General for my state.
I just found this out on my bill as well. Going back to 2008 when I moved from CO to PA. I am contemplating civil action. The customer service on this issue has given me nothing but talking in circles. It should not be on the customer to know you need to submit more than one change of address - that is their job and their "Tax Department's" job.

I had noticed this charge and made contact via the support line ending in 8997. The customer service rep did not ask me why I was calling, just started with giving me my balance. I explained that my account is on auto pay, and I had a question about this item on my bill. They first told me there were no taxes and fees included in my bill. I assured them there certainly are line items, in a section titled "Taxes and Fees"
I drew their attention to the address information, once I had my chance to speak. This was only after they assured me that even though there is a listing for taxes and fees, these charges were no being paid extra for, as they are included in my bill.
I explained that it was really frustrating, being told that a line item that is clear with an associated cost was included in my bill, as though it is not part of the monthly charges.
Each time I offered my response to their statements, I was put on a brief hold so the person on the other end could listen and try to understand what I was saying.
I am paying two separate charges of $1.50, one for the address where I live now, and one for the address I used to live when I opened my account with Nextel (who then was purchased by Sprint, who was then purchased by T-Mobile)
Have not lived at the other address in over 20 years!!! so this means I have paid over $350.00 for nothing!
Who do we need to talk to at T-Mobile to get this resolved?? Does it really need to become a class action lawsuit?
How much of their 19 Billion in revenue is due to small charges like this that go unnoticed?
Seems to me the people in customer service are well aware, and do nothing to help get these charges removed and the customers reimbursed!!

This has happened to me and my husband. Finding out now that we have been paying for an extra line first with sprint then t mobile . It's under taxes and it's my husband's old address but he never lived there when he got the phone plan. So been paying this for almost 20; yrs ! I am getting proof and would be in for a class lawsuit let's get it done now

Omg I just noticed I am being charged for old addresses, we definitely need a class action if this has happened to others.

Hi, did anyone got full charges for all years refunded by TM?
Yes, I had to do this twice in two years already. First refund was $216 and a few days ago, $150. I will keep calling if they don't fix it.

I realize that this thread is old, however, I have the same problem.
I have not tried to rectify it but will soon. I noticed the charges for three different addresses, one of which I have not lived at in over twenty years. The fees average around $17.00 a month and who knows how long they have been doing this.
I looked back over a year of statements and they are all on there, so I can only assume that they go years back.
Other than “Saltina”, has anyone else succeeded in getting any type of refund?
I think more of a class action lawsuit would be appropriate. I love T-Mobile, but they have been in hot water before over false or inaccurate charges.
This is "saltina," and I am on the phone now again, a year later, and having to get another refund because the 911 fee for the address is still being charged to me along with addresses being mislabeled to other lines, and overcharged on taxes. I hope it is done correct this time, and I told them if this doesn't get addressed, class action lawsuit is coming I'm sure.

I just looked at my bill and saw I'm being charged for a state that I had not lived in for eight months when I signed up with T-Mobile. I believe they get the 911 address from your phone when you transfer things over from the cloud. I'm all in for a class action lawsuit if I don't get my money back. I will keep you posted
