Can i make changes to account with my PIN or do i also need my SSN ?
Another post made me think of this.
I don't like giving out my ssn over phone.
Especially with all the awesome info breaches going on & shady ppl that could be workimg writing it down. (Some places only ASK for last 4 digits in general.)
I never set up a PIN for account but finally put an 8 digit one on account today.
My question is -
I can't change my plan to Magenta online. It only gives option of Essentials which is what I've been on for few yrs. I'd love the free Netflix and other deals thst come w that plan.
When I call customer service & use the PIN at beginning prompt, will I ALSO be asked for my SSN number ?
馃枻 TY in advance for anyone who knows the answer.

Your PIN is more than sufficient to verify you, if you are the PAH (Primary Account Holder). I have never had T-Mobile ask for the full SSN but the last 4 digits of your SSN is also a way of verifying when making changes to the account.
