Edit Ringtone

I want to edit the length of my Ringtone. It goes too long before my voicemail prompt comes on. I checked with Apple Support and they said to check with my carrier. When I switched to T-Mobile in March '22, that's when the ringtone started going too long. Where/How can I edit this?

  • You use the number string in my last post.

    **61*18056377243**30#

That one would set it to 30 seconds.  If you want less than that, you just change the 30 on the end to 15 as an example, which would look like this.

    **61*18056377243**15#

Those are entered into the keypad on your device and you press send or call for it to happen.

Your ringtone has no impact in how little or long it takes for callers to be sent to your voicemail.  I'm guessing what you are looking for, is how to change the number of seconds before someone gets your voicemail.

As an example, dialing **61*18056377243**30# would be for a 30 second delay.  You can also choose anywhere from 5 up to a 30-second delay before callers are sent to voicemail.

Yeah, because the voicemail that populate the voicemail app are pulled from the same place as calling into the voicemail system.

You're right! I phrased my question incorrectly. I do want to reduce the number of seconds before the caller is sent to voicemail. So … how do I do that?

same deal if they are using the TMO VM app instead of the call in one?
