Prank Calls

Hey, I recently had a fake phone number call me and prank me. It is now an issue at work and they are asking if I can request for my phone carrier to attempt to see if they can somehow put a connection from the fake phone number to an actual one? I don't know if that is something that could be done or not but we figured it was worth a shot.
