Balance check problem on phone (#225#)

Having the same problem as TMC1 regarding #225#. Happening for several months on 2 different Pay as you go Legacy accounts. Online chat wait time is more than 1 hour. Any info would be appreciated.
I've been struggling with this problem for months now and neither #225# nor #999# work any longer. I discovered, however, that I can check my prepaid balance from my phone by dialing 611 (Customer Care). With this method a voice comes online with an introduction then asks if I want to refill my account. I say "No", and then he says, "Ok then, how can I help you?" I say "prepaid balance," and he says "One moment while I look that up." In another second or two my balance is read aloud to me. This is a bit more complicated than was the old #225# approach where I received the balance via text message, but it's easier than logging into my T-Moblie account from my computer to check my balance. Hope this works for others!
