How are scammers sending scam emails from a real t-mobile email address

So I take it this was fake I lost $20 and my bank account was frozen 3 days later. It's ridiculous. I don't have the money to be giving it to scammers. so basically everything on social media mostly all my emails. They're all trash so I don't even have to open them right?
